No one is saying the SEC is buried.

There is a vast difference in saying the SEC is no longer dominant and saying the SEC is now buried. That’s the problem with commentary - it’s always the extremes which is rarely true.

My point as a 50plus year college football fan who watches way more games than I should is that the SEC is now just another conference. No better, no worse. They’ll win some Natties and not win some Natties. Just like the other conferences will.

I love SEC football. I also love ACC and BIG football. I also love those late night west coast games.

Everyone should root for their team and then enjoy the post season as a celebration of the sport. And if your team or conference wins then have fun with it. But you SEC fans had just gotten way to over the top as you dominated the sport. Believe me, if BIG fans start spouting nonsense then I’ll call then out too. But the expanded playoffs have shown that the BCS and 4 team playoffs will eventually be given asterisks by fans in the future.

Big Ten also has two of the four teams in the Frozen Four for men's hockey and Wisconsin winning the women's title. Zero SEC teams in either hockey finals.

That was a joke. Though I'd love to see the SEC go all in on D1 hockey

Saying they’re no longer dominant is a vast understatement for a league that hasn't even fielded a team capable of being a national finalist in football the last 3 seasons even though they’re the most highly regarded regular season league and have received more bids than anyone during that time.

mismatches with SEC not playing their other conference equivalent

lol. Two 8-4 teams, Tennessee was far more highly regarded and played a quasi home game as a 3pt favorite. Illinois had a 53 point loss on their resume.

Just wait for a liberal to be in the white house, the SEC's luck will miraculously reverse. Bread and circuses, people are just too dumb to see it

To be fair, Big 10 has still gone 26 years without winning a MBB national title

You sure about that?

FG issue, Personal Fouls and missed TD catch made that game look much worse than it was. That game was FAR more equal than OSU/UF the year before

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

LSU went on a 38-7 scoring run after they woke up and Ohio State scored a garbage time TD to make it look not horrible.

Homeboy ain't watching college baseball. He's "working" for his granddad's bank every late spring/summer, conveniently next to the lake at daddy's condo.

this marks the first time in nine years an SEC team did not win a national championship in either football or men’s or women’s basketball.

Can't keep pace with that ACC power Stanford who has two Men's Volleyball championships, two Men's Water polo championships, 10 Women's Water Polo championships, and three Women's Rowing Championships.
