It's time to accept the fact that they will be Wolrd Champions. Rangers over the Nationals in 6. It's happening

Nope, won't get closer than this for a long time.

I seriously doubt it. They will be underdogs in every playoff round except maybe to Baltimore.

If you look at all of the World Series champions over the last ten seasons, they all seem to have one or multiple dominant late inning relievers. The 2015 Royals had Davis, Herrera and Holland. The 2014 Giants had Santiago Casilla and Jeremy Affeldt who always seemed to become unhittable in the postseason. The 2013 Red Sox had Koji. The 2012 Giants had Romo, Casilla and Affeldt, the 2010 Giants had Brian Wilson, the 2009 Yankees had Mariano Rivera, the 2008 Phillies had Brad Lidge who was perfect in saves that year and the 2007 Red Sox had Jonathan Papelbon. The one exception to the rule is the 2011 Cardinals but even their bullpen stepped up in the postseason that year. At least they didn't completely implode like the Rangers bullpen did in the World Series.
When I look at the Rangers, I don't see that one dominant reliever in the back end of their bullpen. I know their bullpen has pitched better but I don't see that one guy who makes opposing teams think "this game is over" when they see him enter the game.

Vegas Dave ihas been spoorting their gear all summer. But, took it on the chin with Holly Holms.

I agree. Carlos Gomez puts them over the top.

20 games over .500 with a +8 run differential. Eventually that has to catch up with them. But perhaps not this year.

Amazingly it was -1 before their win last night.

As has been pointed out many times... this is not a typical team with a negative run differential. Usually teams with negative run differentials and 28-8 records in 1 run games have good bullpens and bad rotations, the Rangers are the opposite. How many times have we seen the Rangers take a 3+ run lead into the late innings and the game get tightened up.

Fvck you, Nelson Cruz, you no - catching mother fricker, you!
My 2011/2012:
Rangers lost world series, when it looked wrapped up. See: Nelson Cruz going full tard.
Saints lost to 49ers with clear path to Super Bowl; obviously would have beaten Giants in Dome.
LSU has greatest regular season snuffed out in game that shall not be mentioned.
Best of times, worst of times.
On topic, hope pitching can right itself by postseason and they can sneak that world series in. Rangers are due.

No matter what mental gymnastics Rangers supporters want to perform, this is still a team who has played 120 games and has a mediocre run differential.
Also, their rotation is not "good". They have 2 very good starters and then a bunch of slaw.

And you'll see one less one for a while--Jeremy Jeffress was busted for DWI early this morning.

Instead of "Spahn and Sain and Pray for Rain", we have "Hamels and Yu, then God help us through".

Did he run over someone's head in the process? Or is that part 2 of the Rangers bullpen initiation?

Innocent until proven guilty.

The Rangers were at +55 at the All-Star Break. They had a terrible July, and have since re-made the lineup and gotten two of their top three pitchers back, and likely will get the fourth back soon. There's nearly every reason to believe this team is better than a run differential that was largely a function of losing six of eight games by at least 5 runs before they added a new RF, C, LF, and DH.
If Holland gets fully healthy and either Colby or Perez is marginally effective, they will have the best rotation in the AL playoffs depending on how you feel about the Indians.

That may be true criminally but MLB has its own rules whereby you're guilty if even rumored to be involved with anything suspicious.
Hopefully he was simply celebrating the Rangers win last night.

Matt Bush is really feeling the repercussions of his actions. Repercussions sounds like concussions. Much akin to the concussion that the motorcyclist likely had after being run over by Bush and being lucky for having a helmet.
