Information provided to the Hotline by SNL Kagan, the renown media research firm, indicates the Pac-12 Networks have lost seven percent of their audience since the peak in 2016, with much of the decline attributed to the discontinuation of service on U-verse last year.

With just 17.9 million subscribers (per Kagan), the Pac-12 Networks will have fewer subscribers in 2019 than The Pursuit Channel, The Sportsman Channel, Fox Deportes and Z Living, according to Nielsen cable coverage estimates from the fall.

It's amazing that they have yet to get rid of the damn regional Pac 12 channels. I have no idea why they are so married to those. Those are a massive albatross round the networks neck.

This is what happens when you have 7 different channels.

You mean to tell me nobody wants to tune in and watch the 3rd or 4rd best Pac-12 game in a given week?

Yep. How Larry Scott still has a job boggles my mind.

The Pac-12 is a kleptocracy. Larry Scott has just used it to enrich himself and his buddies. Whole conference is a shitshow and will be a mid-major shortly based on leadership and demographic change in California.

This plus a major inability to get national distribution or bundling.

Scott created a buttload of channels that most of the country couldn't access if they wanted to. I live in a Pac city and had beg my way into P12 Network through a basic cable provider.

Scott wanted 100% control and rights. Of course, 100% of nothing winds up being nothing.

It’s crazy to me just how much the PAC 12 has fallen off the map in all of the 3 main sports.

So they’ve left att, and they aren’t on directv. Who exactly DOES carry the P12N?

If you ask Comcast and live in Tucson, you might have a shot. That's how I got to be part of the exclusive club.

PAC 12 network is awesome. During football season I can get back from the bars and live football is still on. It’s usually Cal vs Arizona State 42-35 type game, but it’s still college football
