At this rate, he will be able to shoot an 80 on Sunday and still win by 5 strokes.

So Mickelson has birdied 3 of the last 4 holes and LOST A STROKE to Rory.

did you just see the stat they posted on the USOpen.com video feed?

Most strokes under par AT ANY POINT in US Open History... Tiger Woods and Gil Morgan were first at -12. Rory is at -10 not even through 27 holes. Incredible

I guess rory does not like the USGA cut rule that states that everybody within ten shots of the lead plays the weekend

8th hole, the shortest on the course I think. He was inside of 100 yards I'm sure. Ball landed about 20 feet behind the hole near the fringe, ball started trickling back toward the hole, picked up speed and dropped right in.

didn't hear a distance, looked to be a wedge. landed probably 10 feet past the cup, took one or two hops, almost went off the back of the green. looked like it was going to stop completely then began to roll back towards and then right in the hole.

Is this a post from today, or is this something that was posted on the 2nd Friday in April?

Also, one thing I think a lot of people miss about Rory is that he pounds the ball....he is really long especially considering his build

What's up guys...great day to get out there and try to play a US open of your own!

I really hope Rory can keep it together...I just saw one of his dreaded pull hooks on the 10th.
