Wow I just saw the updated leaderboard. A bunch of major winners all over that thing! And the two most talented young guns in the past 10 years....awesome!

Eta: but no Americans in the early early mix other than the little known Palmer

Followed closely by Chris DeForest & Chez Reavie.

Stewie Cink may be our best shot.

Did you really just talk about having it without mentioning MJ. Shame!

I hate to say it guys, but Rory is reminding me of someone I haven't seen mentioned in this thread yet, Greg Norman! Great frontrunner but just couldn't close the deal on Sunday's in the Majors.

i think Rory has the best shot of anyone playing right now not named Phil or Tiger to win 5 majors

That is why I am giving him the Norman label. With all of that talent the kid should at least have 5 wins but he only has 2. There are alot of guys who are world class on Thursday and Friday but come the weekend they can't get it done.

Because he's 22 years old and should have won 5 majors by now?

The 80 he shot at the British Open was played during some of the worst golf conditions ever during a major, so that round doesn't really count as a choke. He definitely had a meltdown at Augusta, no denying that. But to label a 22 year old who is currently blowing away the US Open field about 24 holes into the tournament as a constant choker who can't finish just isn't fair.

Mickelson has birdied two in a row. He needs to shoot -3 under at least today. He can be considered lurking if he gets to even for the tournament, but anything in black numbers and he'll have to go really low on the weekend.

the only question with rory is why hasn't he won more? i know he is young but to only have 2 wins is a little telling. i hope he can learn how to win because he could be a top 20 all timer.

I think he has to win 1 first for it to click. That will take the pressure off

At this rate, he will be able to shoot an 80 on Sunday and still win by 5 strokes.
