When he's losing it, its fun to watch imo.

its unbelievable he's only 2 over. He's actually even par since his first hole of the day where he made double.

ETA: make it 3 over for phil

Phil makes it so hard to root for him. He's way too good to be all over the course like he seems to do at times. He's obviously a great player, because he always seems to have a chance at making a run in the majors, and many times he does. But he routinely hacks it around on Thursday or Friday and has to play from behind on the weekend.

Of course, his "hacking it around" is saved by his remarkable short game, thus leaving him with a chance to make a run with a good round tomorrow.

A lot of Phil hate. He's in with a 74. Right in the mix although he played like shite.

I have not kept up with the scores all day .. How is my pick doing ??

My pick is Robert Rock .... Of course when I picked him I had no clue that he would have trouble getting into the US and not arrive at the course until 3 hours before his tee time

Rory McIlroy is going to win MANY majors. I'm thinking double digits.

What's going to hold him back? He has held an overnight lead in the British Open, the Masters, and now the US Open. How old is he, 22? I think he'll have stretches of winning 3 out of 6 majors or something like that in the upcoming years (maybe 5-6 years down the line). People will be talking about major tournament odds for him like they used to for Tiger, "Who do you have, Rory or the field?"

He blew the Masters and then went out and won the next week somewhere over in Europe/Asia. He has shown that he can bounce back on American soil.

do you know exactly how many players in the history of the game have won double digit majors?

I will take the field every fricking time and become a rich rich man.

ETA: And I love Rory and his game ... But he is not winning double digit majors
