So I am racist because I love my country. Fought for my country. FYI, my wife and kids are not white. Who is the bigot now. People like you will never understand what it is like to leave your family, go fight in a foreign country not knowing if you will ever see your family again. Like I said, I do not hold it against anyone who still watches. I choose not to. Have a good day.

Just like you don't understand why the players are kneeling, however misguided it may be. They are doing it for a reason.

But, nah, you're definitely showing them.

I'm not really a fan of the kneeling either. All I'm trying to show you is how amazingly flawed your logic for not watching the NFL is.

Because kneeling wasn't meant to insult you or anyone that served. It's pointed at the politicians and people in power that continue to disregard what people are asking for. In this case, it was a response to disproportionate violence against African-Americans by law enforcement, and other things.

For you to get upset about guys kneeling during the anthem means you are listening to a certain brand of propaganda being passed around, probably by media outlets run by those in power. To take personal insult to it is to really miss the point entirely. It has nothing to do with insulting people who served. So, why take offense. The American Flag is not going to cry over it.

I spent 20 years in the USAF including a year in Nam. There's a reason the first 10 amendments to the Constitution are called the Bill of Rights. I watch the NFL for what happens on the playing field. Not what happens on the sidelines.

It has nothing to do with the military and the fact that - that keeps being brought up proves people don’t understand what it’s all about. A Vet encouraged him to start kneeling in the first place.

Literally millions of fans watched the pre game show.Rather doubt very many were insulted or slapped in the face figuratively speaking. Good Lord, people today LOOK for things to bitch about.

You're following the logic of a draft dodger who compared sex in the 60s to Vietnam. You have no issue with that it seems. You should be more offended that the military pays the owners $9 million for the players to come out for the anthem.

I fought in Desert Storm. Have not watched an NFL game since all the b.s. started with kneeling. Nothing against anybody who still watches, but to me it was an insult.

Then you are the first military person I’ve ever heard say they give a shite or even feel that it was ever about the military. No military person I’ve met in person cares. None of the marines in my family have ever said that the kneeling had anything to do with the military. Because it didn’t.

Good Lord, How could that possibly be interpreted as a bad thing? They’re damned if they do, damned if they don’t if you’re going to get upset about that

You just don't get it man. It is disrespectful to the military for sure. Those that have faught, died, and/or were mamed/wounded, so that they even have the freedom to express themselves in such a disrespectful/ungrateful manner towards this great nation...the greatest nation in the history of the world btw, should be insulted by that garbage. I was disgusted and I haven't sacrificed anything like those in our armed forces have for this country. If you don't understand the connection between the flag, which represents this country, our anthem, and the military, then you are a complete fool. The flag and anthem represent everything that our country stands for and should be respected by ALL AMERICANS.

Some people just love this country more than others and recognize/appreciate the sacrifices that have been made by so many so that we can enjoy the freedom that we do in America. Others just take it for granted and could give a shite less it seems, and that's just pathetic. God Bless America!

Nothing says you love America like wanting to ban non-violent protest.

Doesn't matter. But what matters is that when you serve you take an oath to uphold the Constitution and Bill of Rights. And the 1st Amendment gives people the right to peaceably protest.

Funny how people can't seem to understand this. Or that they have the same right to protest in support of their agenda. Crying about people exercising the rights granted to them in a democracy just makes you into a crybaby.
