More hypocrisy and how should I know that you know what it means? You don’t know what drop coverage is, you don’t know how switching a ball screen works. Hell you don’t know much of anything besides common terms used on tv and you don’t even know what they mean. “Defensive schemes” lmfao, I mean when you say shite like that nobody should assume you know anything.

I love to play and watch basketball. I still follow the NBA and will get into the playoffs but rarely watch the regular season.
The players and especially the bigs are very talented in today’s era but just not as good of a product to watch.
I never watch WNBA and declining interest in men’s college (until tourney time) so part of it might be my limited free time aspect.

The euro step, no real defense, phantom fouls, no true centers, pickup style basketball, league full of players bred to be 3 pt shooters. To a lesser extent, teams unidentifiable at first glance wearing 7-8 different uniform combinations. They look like dudes who dressed in the parking lot on the way into the gym.
They took the too physical game of the early 90’s and went 180 degrees too far to a way too finesse game.
The social shite doesn't bother me in the least as I still love the NFL. I try 3-4 times a year to get back into the NBA and it just disappoints every time.

It's crazy to me that the age demos focused on here look at late 90s/early 00s ball as this apex when it was ROUTINELY called "street ball" (For good reason).
It was gross, iso-based street ball. Go look up highlights for any non-Phil Jackson or Jerry Sloan team and it's pretty much all iso street ball. I never understand how they can watch that and the limited man-only defense and then say today's movement, passing, and shooting is "street ball" and that "nobody plays defense" today.
It got so bad/ghetto that Stern had to institute a dress code in the mid-00s.
