Do people not realize that athletes have access to more testing and most likely cleaner/safer environments than they do at home? This is some of the stupidest shite I’ve ever heard in my life.

And if they were going to cancel anyway, why even make the schedules in the first place? None of this shite makes any sense, covid is nothing but fear porn

Its dumb. Better chance they die from a bad hit on the field.

Presidents/BOT types are afraid of long term health impact and liability.

To appease dullards like you who thought there was even a minuscule chance of football being played this year.

I do agree with you here. I’d argue the non-playing student population is at far greater “risk”.

Right. So all these other sports can play without consequences but college football is unsafe.

LOL they don’t care about what me or you think, they care about money. They had to realize they would face a shite ton of backlash for going forward with a season, so why do it if you can’t take the heat?

Have the athletes that want to play sign a waiver removing the school and ad from all COVID related liabilities. Any athlete who doesn’t sign it is excused from the season with an athletic scholarship through the remaining of the spring, but the school is under no obligation to them beyond that.

They are already guaranteed a scholarship if they opt out under NCAA rules that were released this week. Why would the players sign a waiver like that?

Quit being a fricking douchebag, if this was the case, then all the schools that have been meeting and "practicing" with helmets and shorts only must be in on the joke too

Yes they are leading everyone on as long as possible to lose as little money as possible from donors/ST holders.

Same thing schools are doing by delaying the inevitable announcement that they’re going online for the fall.

Do people not realize that CFB players, coaches, staff, etc., cannot and do not live their lives in a bubble? That they come into contact with their roommates, families, friends, other students, and many others in their daily lives?

These things don’t happen in a vacuum. There are lots of real people involved, not just action figures on a playing surface.

Pushing the season to the spring as an alternative and playing 2 seasons in one year is so hypocritical and actually doesn't adhere to players safety.

So football is done forever unless there’s a vaccine?

And you think they won’t come in contact with friends, family, etc not playing football? If they cancel football, kids will still party and gather socially

Your risk of death or severe disease age 30 or younger is minuscule. This has turned into the biggest hysteria in know history.
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

They better be afraid of having to produce another revenue stream.
