Do people not realize that CFB players, coaches, staff, etc., cannot and do not live their lives in a bubble? That they come into contact with their roommates, families, friends, other students, and many others in their daily lives?

You just made the case for opting out being stupid.

All of these kids opting out are also opting out from hanging out with friends and partying? I sure hope so, otherwise they're hypocrites.

If that’s the case, then all schools should be closed except virtual learning and no kids on campus.

They knew the optics of telling the other students to stay with virtual learning but making the football team come on campus looked bad. Also, they want that housing money.

Trying to be respectful but let’s cancel all sports and concentrate on a cure to this virus. It bothers me that these Covid rules and practices are just half assing the sports anyway. Let’s come back and play real sports after we control this virus once and for all.
