He was 22 and the focus of the heat D. They knew if they put all their attention on harden, and didn’t worry about KD and Russ, that they would win. They were right.

Similar strategy employed by the lakers this year. Take the ball out his hands with traps and doubles, dare his teammates to beat you.

That is why it is so easy to understand why he wants to go play elsewhere. You can’t use those tactics if he has teammates who can punish a 4 on 3.

He just sounds too selfish. Jim Soften may be one of the elite players of our generation, but his lack of leadership is going to be why he cannot win the big one. No teammate buys into me me me mentalities.

What a waste.

He has been lauded by countless teammates.

Chris and russ were both used to having their own team, running the show, being the alpha. They did not take well to having to be a robin off the court, as well as on.

If he's not making them better players that doesn't matter now does it? Not participating in sets that don't involve you as a ball handler is a bad bad look.

He got capela damn near 20 million for being able to catch alley oops And set screens

Does not make them better? How the heck do you get 3 top 15 all time offenses without making teammates better.

but are they really, or is it just the media talking it up?
Maybe they know Harden more than anyone, and actually don't really want him, which is why a trade hasn't been made.

Amin Elhassan hinted at that on NBA radio a few days ago.

Let's all try something. Boom lets go of Harden's balls and we'll see if he can still type.

however, the guy has ALWAYS been about preparing and improving his game. he's really starting to get credit for that based on how his body is holding up as an old man. he has always invested a TON of time and effort in improving his game and body.

I don't think anyone has ever questioned LeBron's preparation, professionalism or commitment as a basketball player. Personality-wise, he's an insufferable twat waffle.

That was Kinda a joke of a post anyway.

Harden is the most durable player in the nba. If you say lebron, harden is clear #2 and no one else is close.

you can’t knock the guy who barely ever misses games for his body not holding up.

And you can’t knock the guy who adds something to new to his game even at age 30 as not improving.

I mean you could probably write a similar story about every superstar player in the league

The Mavs let Dirk do whatever he wanted. They made every move to make the team better for him. Dirk responded by always being the first one into practice and that last one to leave.

Just b/c a team caters to a star doesn't mean the star has to act like a spoiled child.

Austin Rivers: "James [Harden] came up to me during the game and said this is what we need. We need you to continue to push yourself...James is the best player on our team. He's also the hardest working guy on our team...I just try to reflect what he's doing."

Hardest worker on the team.

“He’s smarter about taking care of his body. There’s no pulling him out of games because he’ll fight you on that, but he’s gotten better at that. In practice, James practices harder than anybody. He comes in, won’t sit, always gets his extra shooting in. On the road, we have to wait for him to finish. At home, he’s the last one to finish. He comes in at night sometimes with his guys and gets more shots up. He’s not where he is by acciden

Hardest worker. You don’t Be first team all nba 6 times in a row by not putting in the work.
