To Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and Allen: To you I say congrats. Congrats on "winning". But don't complain when others, those who know love the old fashioned American way, aren't that impressed.

Theunknowndouche is killing me with his replies. This idiot actually believes his bullshite.
The lakers are the epitome of everything he is bitching about.
Look at their squad RIGHT NOW.
2 lock hall of famers and the best big in the game.
If it was so easy to buy a championship the lakers would have been playing oit of the west.
The guy needs ro stfu and respect lebron james and his game

quote:And there are multiple articles you can look up that will tell you Kobe was willing to waive the no trade clause.
He had a no-trade clause, only one in the NBA...it WAS his decision. He also stayed as a FA where again it was his decision tard.
Being traded isn't HIS decision, no clue how you don't realize. Last I checked, the team decides on whether a player will be traded. In this case, Kobe was willing, the Lakers were not.
LOYALTY!!!!

No, he doesn't. The world looks a lot like what the Heat have become. Businesses bring in the best talent to strive to be the best.
And teams in professional sports have been doing this LONG before the Heat. Seriously, has no one heard of the New York Yankees?
In fact, there isn't a single legitimate point in his post.

Did Kobe get traded? Nope. Could he have forced the ownership's hand like LeDouche did with his "trade"? Yep. Did Kobe do this? Nope.
You lose again.

Actually if you want to bring this stupid business analogy into it, it would the same as insider trading, price fixing, or corporate collusion.
Nice try though.

Why are the Heat are hated? The Heat represent taking the modern short-cut to glory. They represent a lack of loyalty and dedication to team work. Other great teams in the past were built by trades, draft picks, etc by the organization (See the Lakers, Bulls, etc.). The Heat were DESIGNED in 2008 and constructed in 2010 driven by the PLAYERS. The whole idea was trying to neutralize a challenge, to avoid one player having too much pressure on them.
Why are the Heat are hated? There is a large segment of people in America who respect fighters, who respect those who rise to the challenge, who respect loyalty, and who respect someone WANTING to earn their way.
To Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and Allen: To you I say congrats. Congrats on "winning". But don't complain when others, those who know love the old fashioned American way, aren't that impressed.
Forget the "he old fashioned American way" as far as the NBA goes. Back in the day, the big market teams had a distinct advantage over the small market teams. Then in the mid 80's the new CBA included revenue sharing including TV, radio and post-season revenue, all teams were on equal footing under the same salary cap. At that point, teams that found the best way to circumvent the salary cap with restructured contracts and early termination clauses became more successful through "creative accounting" - not hard work and loyalty. Then in the mid 90's ALL NBA players were able to become unrestricted free agents after the conclusion of their contracts. Teams have been built that way going on 20 years. You make it sound like the Heat invented the concept in 2010. How is a couple of free agents deciding they want to play in Miami different than a superstar forcing a trade to LA or Chicago because he wouldn't resign with his small market team?
