Early groups tomorrow might have a huge advantage.
Brooks will be done before the others after noon will have to deal with weather delays, rain and wind.

Honestly a dumb rule and should be removed.
I get what you’re saying, but it’s more about protecting the field than anything else. If I’m playing with someone I know who hits about the same distance as me, it’s an advantage to learn the club my playing partner hit before me vs. if I’m playing with Larry Mize or by myself.
Same reason backstopping is technically against the rules as well.

Looking at the forecast for Augusta, I don't think they are gonna be playing much golf the next two days

These turds trying to put a penalty on Brooks makes me want him to win even more.

technically yes - but it happens all the time but the caddies also tell the TV reps in the group which clubs the guys are using.
I mean you can figure out what club someone is using if you want too - what's next having backs turned?
What is annoying is that the TV guys on the Golf Channel certainly cherry picked this info since Brooks is a LIV guy - I would bet my life savings on a PGA Tour guy doing the exact same thing yesterday

I don’t think anyone else did this so blatantly, yelling the club while Brooks himself flashed 5 fingers to Woodland’s caddie as well. This gained steam on social media, not Golf Channel cherry picking something.
By all means though, fire up the LIV guys are the victims machine. Getting accused of cheating based on something caught in broadcast never happens to PGA guys. Definitely didn’t happen to Colin Morikawa yesterday.

Brooks out early with another birdie. I guess LIV does play real golf.

Caddies also historically tell the TV guys in the group which club their players pull - so they can say the club selection on the broadcast. This is heard clearly by others within the group.
They also don't mark their ball so their playing partners have a backstop.
Yes, Social Media also hates Brooks and LIV and ran with it.
Either way make me want him to win now.

It’s illegal to ask and a two shot penalty, and it’s illegal to tell also a two shot penalty.

Hole location at No. 3 is wicked today. Both Brooks and Woodland couldn’t keep,it on the green from 35yd and in on their second shots.

It is not audible they use a hand signal.

Poor Brooksie and little ol LIV golf, Twitter doesn’t like them.
Again, similar thing happened to Morikawa yesterday.

Par on 3 is going to gain your strokes vs the field today. Big time putt to save it for Koepka
Posted on 4/7/23 at 8:18 am to BHTiger
Koepka is scrambling well right now, but his irons are off
