So why would I want to have a discussion with somebody that knows nothing about the NBA? whats the point? You wouldn't have your own opinion so I would basically be your Google. What's in it for me?

quote:

I read TD. That's where I get all of my info. I don't watch NBA. General consensus is that Magic was a terrible GM, Luke was a mediocre to bad coach, and that the last statement is common sense.

But see let's just say I disagreed with those opinions (which I don't necessarily), I can't argue with you about those points because they aren't yours.

quote:

You said the Lakers were heading in the right direction pre-Lebron and will be worse off post-Lebron. You referenced all the terrible FO decisions...

Wrong. I referenced his inability to make FO decisions and said we'd be worse off with the decisions he's going to make. Hence why when you asked for them I said I can't predict the moves he's going to make. Then I gave you past decisions he's made as a basis for that opinion on what he's going to do.

quote:

Who got traded? I remember the fallout of him trying to trade everyone (with the Lonzo instagram post) but I don't remember anyone actually being traded.

Cleveland bro.

quote:

The magic Google machine helped me out. Here are my statements as to how much I follow the NBA.

So you read my last post. Googled it. Read all about it to the point where you think you know what happened better than a person who follows it and typed up a response all in 8 minutes?? bullshite.

You claim I'm sensitive for some reason even though I'm not even mad and have said nothing bad about you besides calling bullshite on something.

At this point, it's either you're lying about you not following the NBA or pointless for me to discuss it with someone that has to Google everything I say to know what's going on.

Okay, If you think LeBron is better than Giannis and Harden today you don’t even know what a basketball game looks like. See, wasn’t that a fun rebuttal?

Make an actual statement to support your claim.

LeBron will always be a great passer.

But 3 of the guys would win the matchup against LeBron and James Harden is better offensive player than LeBron James is today, Giannis would torch LeBron, Durant’s already done it and Kawhi is better than the last time they matched up(while LeBron is worse)when LeBron was literally cursing when Kawhi would check in.

There are other players who could be number 1 options over LeBron as well.

My point still stands. Lebron is one of the best #1 options in the league.

But not a better 1 option than the 4 guys I listed.

Did adding Lebron to the roster make them a better team?

Simple question.

If Lebron has stayed in Cleveland and Paul George has gone to the Lakers, these three things would have changed:

Cleveland would have been a 7 or 8 seed in the East with a .500 record getting bounced by the Bucks in the first round.

Lakers would have been the 6-8 seed with a win total in the 44-46 range. Competitive first round exit.

Thunder would have been .500 and out of the playoffs.

LeBron coasted through a weak as hell East his last 4 seasons in Cleveland. The only team he beat in the Eastern Conference playoffs of note were the Raptors and they were led by a SG who couldn’t hit 3s, a pg who is known for disappearing in the playoffs, and a dude named Fred.

The Lakers would have been better with literally any other superstar picking them or being traded to them. George, Kawhi, Westbrook, anyone else.

He’s an empty calorie stat accumulator at this point. He’s Drew Brees before the last two seasons: Put up great numbers that mean frick all because you aren’t helping your team win anything.

The biggest thing about Lebron's arrival to the Lakers is that it gave everyone the green light to really look at the Lakers. And it didn't take people long to realize what fans have been knowing for a few years now...

No one in the org has any idea on what they are doing.

Giannis has a very solid chance of winning MVP,Finals MVP and DPOY.

If that happens-ascending to the top, there will be no question that he is the best player in the world.

But as of today, the guy cant be stopped on the drive, his 3pt shot is rising, is more athletic than LeBron at this point, a gifted passed in his own right & an player who can play any role on the defensive side.

He is better than 34yr/16th season LBJ.
