Of his generation? Agree/disagree?
What about Griffey Jr? Same generation or not? I never know how to determine those things. He's 8 years older than Jones I'm pretty sure.

As long as they are talking defense, sure. If they are talking all around game Griffey Jr wins easily.

All time is too tough. It's Griffey Jr or Edmonds in my lifetime. Andruw Jones is not the best of his or any generation.

Griffey Jr. is hands down the best outfielder of this generation and easily one of the best of all time. Dude has 10 gold gloves, 13 all stars, seven silver sluggers...i really dont care if youre talking defensive or all around, Junior wins either way

You don't remember the 90's too well do you. Jones was not only the greatest defensive centerfielder of his generation, he is one of the best EVER. there's only 2-3 guys ever that one could argue were as good or better than him.

To be honest, I'll take Ichiro before Jones. Same gold gloves, less time in the league (5 years) and a better arm.

Perceptions fade over time. But people have to remember that when he was playing, jones was widely accepted as the best outfielder of his generation. And he played at the same time as Griffey, Edmonds, and hunter. 3 of the best defensive outfielders ever.
