re: The Dolphins don’t want to pay Tua 55 Mil.

That’s smart, almost all of these new contracts for QBs are albatrosses around a franchises neck. There might be 5-7 that are close to worth what’s being shelled out and Tua ain’t one of em.

By “a while” you mean “ 1 season”?
Let’s see if Tua keeps inching closer, or if Joe can stay healthy and play a full season of good football.
Should be interesting.

Horrendous?? They were 6th in the league in rushing and had a RB with 18 TDs. Team was tied for 1st with 27 rushing TDs. Not quite horrendous in my book.

The fact is, Miami's OL was horrendous and was probably saved a bit by Tua getting rid of the ball quickly; while Jeaux exposed his OL by holding the ball forever.

Tua fits so well into the Dolphins system, wouldn't surprise me at all if he wins the MVP this year.

Tua is arguably one hit away from retirement. Ridiculous to give him that contract. Real good QB aside from that though.
Nice 2021 talking point, get with the times, Tua knows how to stay healthy now.

Seriously, this board will never let go of that cause of Bammer. Dude played all 17 games last year.
I wonder if opinion will change if Burrow gets hurt again and Tua plays another 17?
Who am I kidding, the narrative of this board won’t change.
What does have to change is Tua’s performance against good teams. That I will say has been dog shite. Roast scrubs, then get destroyed in big games. I think that, more than health, was Miami’s hesitation in giving the contract.

His record vs .500 or better teams is awful the past 2 seasons. Can’t win MVP only beating up on the Carolina Panthers
Of the world.
Of the world.

His record or his team’s record?
Let’s try to keep up the consistency here Louisiana.

They’re the same in this case. The team is deciding what he’s worth based on how much winning he can bring them. They don’t want to pay him top dollar because he can’t win without more help than that price tag calls for.

I'm an Alabama and Dolphins fan. I wouldn't pay him $55, either. But, frankly, I wouldn't pay any QB not named Mahomes that much. The record of SB wins by top dollar QBs is not sterling over the last 10-15 years.

Would you pay the guy that's got a winning record against mahomes that?

I agree mostly only I think there are more than just Mahomes who are worth it. Like I said maybe 5 guys who I know if I put a contending roster behind them they can definitely win a Super Bowl.

How many Super Bowls has he won?

Glassman needs to take less because he is less and be thankful…

Bro, with all due respect, what the frick are you talking about?
Burrow played all 16 games in 2021 and 2022, both season ms that Tua only played in 13 each.
Tua isn’t some iron man locked in 17 game starter because he played a full season for the first time in 4 years.

As is any QB, fact is Tua played all 17 games last year, took 29 sacks along with however many hits he took while scrambling. He’s played two more games than Burrow in their careers.
Right now, Id take Burrow 10/10. But if Joe gets hurt again this year it’s time we all call him what he is, glass.
So what do we call Tua? He’s played 1 full season in 4 years. Burrow played all 16 games in 2021 and 2022.
You people have lost your minds.

Doesn’t stop Bama fans from calling him “glass”.

Why would it?
Again, burrow played back to back seasons without injury. Why does Tua get to shake the moniker by burrow can’t?

Then how is Burrow at the same number with more games missed than Tua?
