Did somebody legitimately compare Tua to fricking Burrow? If it was injuries fine but there is no comparison of the two when they are on the field. Also, Burrows injuries seem to be unlucky things that don’t seem to hinder him when he comes back (so far). I cringe when I see Tua hit after seeing that poor kid do that thing with his hands.

They wound up paying him $53 million a year.

Wow as a dolphin fan I am happy for him. I do get worried that he could fall apart any minute but the same could be said for every qb. I say let’s ride and see if we can get over the hump. Fins up!!!

$167 million guaranteed

So about 52 mil less guaranteed than Joe.

Glad those silly fans can realize they were wrong now.

Bucs getting Baker at 30 million just looks better and better.

5 years vs 4. He can renegotiate sooner and he’s 15 months longer. He’ll likely get a 4th contract while Burrow will maybe get a third.

Him getting to his next contract sooner or another 50 mil guaranteed? Which one do you really think these guys want lol

Burrow has more risk to miss games with that OL,

Stop with this bullshite. Jeaux's OL since his rookie year has never been as bad as Tua's. The ONLY reason LSU fans latched onto this talking point was because Jonah Williams was from Alabama. When it was repeatedly shown to them that Cincy's OL was right in the middle of the league (and JW graded out the same among OTs), didn't matter. The narrative was set.

The fact is, Miami's OL was horrendous and was probably saved a bit by Tua getting rid of the ball quickly; while Jeaux exposed his OL by holding the ball forever.

Tua has out performed TLaw imo.

Agree.....but can Trevor have those receivers for a year to see what he can do with Waddle and Cheetah?

Yeah Burrow’s non-contact knee injury didn’t cause him to miss 7 games and come back with 2 TDs, 2 INTs, 57% completion rate, 4.82 yards per attempt, and 3 losses in his first 4 games back.

Tua is just better than Joe now.

The Dolphins just told you he is not.

Paid less than Joe
Less success in the playoffs than Joe
Career numbers not as good as Joe

It's not really a debate. If Tua goes on a super bowl run this year sure let's talk. But he won't. He loses against better teams more than he wins.

Joe is looking injury prone while Tua is leveling up.

I’m gonna need to see something out of Joe this year or we might have to start reevaluating who is better.

Can Joe have a better season than Tua? It’s been a while since that was the case.

ETA: I’ve thought Joe was the better QB for quite some time. But Tua’s career stats probably look very comparable to Joe’s if his first HC wasn’t actively trying to screw him while also larping as some victim of horrific racism. I don’t believe Tua was set up with weapons at first, either.

I have a feeling Tua’s numbers will continue to close in on Joe’s.

Right now I’m taking Joe 10/10 times in a must win game. But things can change.

Arguably the most overrated NFL player of the last 25 years. He is absolute dog shite when it matters.

Tua is arguably one hit away from retirement. Ridiculous to give him that contract. Real good QB aside from that though.

Horrendous?? They were 6th in the league in rushing and had a RB with 18 TDs. Team was tied for 1st with 27 rushing TDs. Not quite horrendous in my book.

I'm talking about Tua's career in Miami. Their pass pro/pressures allowed ratings are dog poo.

As is any QB, fact is Tua played all 17 games last year, took 29 sacks along with however many hits he took while scrambling. He’s played two more games than Burrow in their careers.

Right now, Id take Burrow 10/10. But if Joe gets hurt again this year it’s time we all call him what he is, glass.
