I think Tua is a very good QB, but Bama fans are tripping over themselves to declare him better than Burrow because Burrow took Tua’s heisman and #1 pick after 2019.
Here are a few facts:
Tua has played a full season 25% of his career.
Tua has thrown for 4,000+ yards 25% of his career.
Tua has thrown for 30+ TDs 0% of his career.
Tua has never won a playoff game.
Tua has never won the division.
ETA: McDaniel is a Shannahan disciple. Tua and Purdy are putting up identical numbers (Purdy’s are actually better). I highly doubt we’d see Bama fans on this board call Purdy elite, or say he’s better than Burrow.

no bama fan truly thinks he is better than burrow. Tua is very good at slants and bombs like he always has. Burrow is all-around.

Stats and reality show that Tua is the superior QB but LSU fans have never been known to let the truth get in their way.

With how the NFL deals with concussions now, one or two more of the above and Tua may never play again. You can say that with anyone with an injury, but we have seen it already with Tua.

Nobody has lost their mind. Both QBs have had two seasons of injury.
Tua didn’t start until halfway through rookie season and it was on and off. He didn’t get injured that year. He was injured 2021/2022. Burrow was injured 2020/2023.
Yet Tua is labeled as glass, Burrow isn’t.
That’s my point. They’ve both been injured two seasons yet Tua is the one out of the two labeled as injury prone when Burrow has missed just as much.
