Midland Rockhounds

Had a four-peat in Texas League (The number of baseball teams who have four-peated their respective league is a tiny sample size).

Honestly, it’s why I’m not surprised Oakland has come out of nowhere to get into the playoffs.

I feel the same way. The general thought is upper levels of college baseball is AAA. And the games are played to win, not development. I have never actually met a minor league baseball fan. They just like thirsty Thursdays.

Have you ever lived in a minor league city where there isn't much else going on? Or been to Spring Training? I've met plenty of minor league fans. It's one thing to have your favorite club's affiliate near by, but in Harrisburg, PA I met plenty of people who were Senators fans that didn't care one iota about the Nationals.

To the OP, the Potomac Nationals have gotten a lot of publicity the last couple of seasons for their promotions and give-a-ways. They even out-drew the Marlins on the 4th of July.

The SEC is the best college baseball league there is. The SEC pales in comparison to even the lowest level of full season baseball.

Have you BEEN to Dayton? Other than minor-league ball, a Wright Brothers tour and the museum at Wright-Patt.?

Stubby Clapp has been a Cardinals' guy for his entire career, or most of it, anyway. Career AAA guy I remember him playing AAA ball almost 20 years ago.

Good for him being the Redbirds' manager.

Well, I will take the opinion of professionals. It is mainly the reason a prospects time to the bigs is cut in half if he goes to college.

What % of players on high-level college baseball even make AAA?

That is a trick question. Most are put directly into AA, and are only in AAA long enough to freshen up before the bigs.
