Braves will go up into 120-130 range before long, only a matter of time
i hope you're right. But what makes you think this???
Hasn't our budget been 85-95 the last 5 or so years? I think Vol's estimate of 110 in the near future is likely best case scenario.

Yeah but the whole point of the new stadium is more money.
Although the TV deal is still brutal.

Here is what I have. Still missing details of Teheran extension and info of Pena's deal this year.

Was trying to find something similar all morning.
Is the Pena thing in 2020 just an error?

Does anyone know exactly how much it will bring in (and since its development-based, would the full amount start in 2017)?

Whoever thought it was a great idea to sign off on that deal needs to be tied up and thrown off the top of the Westin Peachtree Plaza Sharky's Machine style.

Yeah, I entered it in to the wrong cell.
Should be correct now. Fixed a few minor errors.

i just read heyward extension still possible, but i don't think so.. but hey what do we know.

Yea this extension just makes Kimbrel even more attractive to other teams. The Braves could get a huge return for him next offseason. I certainly don't expect he'll finish this contract in a Brave uniform.

If Heyward plays like shite this year we could get him on the cheap

Does this have something to do with the extra spending this off season? I know the new stadium deal should help out too but I'm not sure we'd see any effects of it until later down the road.

I'm pleased that we've locked up some young players, but I would take Heyward, Simmons and Minor over the next 10 years over any of the players we've extended. I hope we haven't blown our load.

Simmons is the top player I wanna lock down.
Posted on 2/17/14 at 1:55 am to bamafan425
I think we extend Simmons before the season.

First I've read of that. I'm sure it has something to do with everything. I think most has to do with the stadium though...most of these deals are more backloaded for when we'll have that extra revenue.

Freddie, J-Hey, Kimbrel, and Julio have been signed to a combined 20 years now this offseason.
That is pretty good.
