So it is his fault he is was forced to play the outfield because we had 30 mill tied up in 2 guys that hit a combined .190 neither started in the playoffs?

He will probably be the main C during regular season and move to DH during inter-league games. They will obviously want his bat in the line up, so the Braves have 10 games in AL parks where the DH will be used (20 total inter-league games) so that is 10 games he will be used at DH. That gives you 152 games left on the year, say he gets 10 games just to "rest" then you are at 142 and if he plays 110 games at C he will probably spend the other 32 in the OF/1B.
Doumit can play the 2 corner OF spots as well so he has some versatility along with 1B. He is probably better in the OF than Gattis would be so if BJ is struggling and Freeman needs an off day you would probably see Laird behind the plate, Gattis at 1B, and Doumit in the OF.

I'll take the under that Gattis starts 8-12 games at 1B this year unless Freeman gets hurt. Maybe he starts 2-3 games.

Don't quite understand why Fredi thinks Gattis can only catch 100-110 games. He's 26-27 years old and built to handle a 125-130 game workload.

Even if he plays all 10 AL inter-league games at DH and Fredi gives him 10 games of rest during the year that still leaves 142 games to be caught. He will have to see time at 1B/OF if the Braves want his bat in the line up
