I’m still really high on Fried and Soroka.

He would have an enormous price tag. Probably starting along the lines of Wright, Anderson, and Pache

More than that imo

That's why I had the word "starting" in my post. We'd probably have to throw in Toussaint and/or Wilson too. I really like Snell but not at that price tag.

That would leave significantly less org depth and would hurt our chances to make more trades.

ETA: I also think Pache will be a starting outfielder in Atlanta by the All Star Break in 2019.

I think Waters and/or Riley and possibly Contreras. Don’t think Rays trade Snell with a glove first OFer as the position player centerpiece

There isn’t room for both Pache and Inciarte as starters I don’t think. I think we trade one of them.

I think we could have an outfield of Acuña/Pache/Waters in 2020 and use the money and prospect capital to get a real catcher, an ace pitcher, and some bullpen help.

First time in a long while I’ve watched probably 140+ games. Such a fun team. Can’t wait for next year. Wish it didn’t have to end like it did but I’m not pissed like a lot of our playoff outs.

I think we need to be patient with Pache and not make the same mistake we did with Swanson. His bat isn’t ready right now and he probably wouldn’t be any better than Ender next year. I think we have to acquire a middle of the order bat to replace Markakis. The only issue is after Harper there isn’t that kind of OF in free agency. It sort of pisses me off that the Marlins wouldn’t trade Yelich to us without Acuna. We could’ve given them a better deal than the Brewers gave them.

Ehh, I don't blame them honestly. I'd charge a higher price tag to a division rival too. I'm just glad the Braves didn't even entertain the idea.

So talking hypothetically could we afford both Harper and Kimbrel or is just unrealistic

Definitely an interesting off season ahead.

How do we feel about the following out of the pen next season?

Viz
Minter
Sobotka
Winkler
Freeman
Biddle
Carle

What is Fried? SP or RP?

How do we feel about O’Day?

Needs to be much better than that.

I think pen will be the thing that will change the most.

Bout the only guys I’d like to see there from current squad are:

Minter, Sobotka, Viz, and maybe Touki if he’s not in rotation. Hopefully O’Day comes back strong. But will need to add 3 vets.

Agree.

Bullpen, OF, and the bench will be major focal points.

How do we feel about Catcher? Flowers will be back. Suzuki? FA?

I think Fried would be a very good bullpen arm and I also think his blister problems will keep him from ever being a long term starter

If I get Jeff Bezos' fortune and Liberty sells me the team? Sure.

Did he have blister issues before this season?

He looked good out of the bullpen. It could be a good spot for him while the Braves figure out how the SP depth works itself out.

I like Viz, Minter, Sobotka our of the pen. Adding Fried there helps. I’m not down on Winkler necessarily. There’s a lot to like about the numbers he posted. I think Carle is out. Freeman was good in August & September so I’m unsure what to make of him
