I love when Chip gets all excited about a lazy fly ball.

His signature call from that one game playoff a few years ago:
"Line drive. Base hit! Caught out there. The runner tags. Throw to the plate. On target. And in time!"

Heard Wren on 680 on the way home. Payroll is based solely on revenue. Set by Scheurholz and McGuirk. Pretty much we have to be really good at scouting and developing players. Easiest way to increase payroll is to have a spike in attendence. Nothing groundbreaking. Just re-iterates how fricked we are by our tv contract.
Also said we've been trying to trade for Maholm for like 3 years.
Oh and when we tried to trade for Reed last year, the Cubs wouldn't because Reed basically held that ball club together according to John Henry. Henry said I know we are a bad ball club, but he is crucial to our club. Must be a good clubhouse presence guy.

He's lanky, but I wouldn't call him awkward and certainly not uncoordinated. And last time I checked, Hunter Pence has been playing in the majors for a while now.
