At least Freddie Freeman will have an extremely high OBP this year because they will consistently pitch around him

Which won't help this team. Lineup already looks like a disaster.

Would be amazing if Uggla actually proves to be a serviceable hitter and can be moved to the 2 hole because he does draw walks. Also need to get CJ out of the 4 hole.

BJ was extremely streaky in Tampa. He would hit like an all star for a month then fail to make solid contact for the next two months. I was hoping them simplifying his swing during the offseason would help with consistent contact but it hasn’t

I'm going to give BJ the month of April before I completely and utterly give up on him

Why does it seem sarcasm always gets lost on this site?

I'm not a mental patient. I don't actually think I can strike out a major league baseball player.

Like it. And I'm not giving up on Gattis improving at the plate either. I hope he can become our 6-7 hole guy but we'll see.

Thought you were serious my bad.

It blows my mind that MLB contracts (and NBA deals) are essentially fully guaranteed. And the most violent sport with the shortest average lifespan of the players (NFL) has contracts that always have team outs.

That's actually better than what Alex Bregman has done against SEC pitching so far.

it would be a shame if MATT GARZA pitches a no hitter against us...like he's done so far through 4 1/3 innings

Is it possible to be positive regarding BJ Upton right now? This is historically bad, like worst hitter of all time bad.

I'm fine with him playing, but he doesn't need to bat 2.

I think I would bat BJ seventh. That way he's not being protected by only the pitcher, but he also gets minimal at bats.

Excuse you? Delete your post. But yes, MATT GARZA has a no-no.
