Agree -- it feels like they have had 20 times when there were two runners on with no outs or 1 out and they got nothing out of it.

Maybe trying to get as many righties in as possible is the only thing that make sense in my mind as a reason theyd come up with.

Thing is Harris is arguably our best hitter 2nd best if you wanna put olson first. He should be playing regardless

Harris is 2-15 with 10 k’s in 16 plate appearances against Sanchez.

Meanwhile Lane Thomas is 8-17 against Sanchez.

I mean that makes sense.

Harris has also been your best or at worst second best hitter this season over an entire season also.

I’m guessing the moment Philly goes to a righty, Harris pinch hits, Thomas comes out, Dubon to left.

Walt is playing the best career success method tonight. We will see how it works out.

Harris has the aura for that kind moment imo.

He thrives off confidence and the ability to do things that deliver the dagger.

Likely a great call by white when we find outselves tied in the 7th or 8th with a righty on the mound and Harris can come up

Imo that’s why lane Thomas is a 5th and not Murphy as Thomas is the likely planned input for him but it is game dependent obviously

Interestingly in the debate between Harris and Olson for best brave this year Harris has a .6 WAR over him but an OPS about .20 less and a pretty negligible ops plus difference.

Harris 4.5 War
Olson 3.9

If Harris wasn’t so dreadful at walking he could be very elite. He’s hitting 296 but barely has a OBP in the 300s

My only reservation about holding Harris out, is do you sit him again next week vs Sanchez? He’s been arguably our best player.

Maybe just go on vibes

Harris has imho 100% been the best brave this year (non pitchers)

He normally obliterates the ball somewhere when he makes contact with it. His barrel rate is insane as is his hard hit rate. His launch angle is actually kinda of low and it’s why he hits so many rocket shot line drives in the gap and many of homers are screamers on a rope.

When he truly gets under one though he hits some of the most impressive HRs on the team since Ronald’s mvp season.

Me and my wife are at happy hour with her sister so someone check me on this if you want but I’m nearly positive Harris has almost even splits and Olson has dramatically worse lefty splits and very high ops righty splits
