Yea I have a hard time believing if you are taking Chen on, you are giving up an allard. I mean he's over 20 mill annually.

Probably so.

Yes.

But we have tons of depth at pitching. Can’t keep them all.

2 top young quality players at every-day positions (especially catcher) for the cost of your top developmental pitcher?

Sign me up.

Probably, but some think Soroka is the top pitching prospect, and I would venture to say that Gohara and Wentz have higher ceilings.

Catchers are fickle as hell. The main issue with this deal remains chens contract.

Do I think he is a Hall of Famer? Probably not. I think he is in the Hall of Very Good, but then again, the Hall should be very exclusive, but I will say that if people think Carlos Beltran is a HOF lock, then they need to reconsider Andruw.

67.2 WAR, .279/.350/.486, 118 wRC+, 9.8 BB/9, 16.3 K/9, 435 HR, 312 SB, .207 ISO, 2586 PA
ROY, 9xAS, 3xGG, 2xSS, Best MVP 4th

67.1 WAR, .254/.337/.486, 111 wRC+, 10.3 BB/9, 20.2 K/9, 434 HR, 152 SB, .231 ISO, 2196 PA
5xAS, 10xGG, 1xSS, Best MVP 2nd

Chipper fricking Jones. My favorite non-Astros player of all time. Happy that he made it as an obvious 1st ballot Hall of Famer.

And he should have won the MVP in 2005 over Pujols. Pujols had 4 great seasons before that without winning the MVP and the voters just figured it was his turn.

Andruw was such an elite fielder that it should push him over the top. He is one of, if not the greatest defensive outfielder of all time.

Good read on Chipper. It's basically Cox, Glavine, McCann, Texiera, David Ross, and his agent saying what made him great.
