Hey, had JS gotten his wish we’d have Hendry right now.
Very please with AA.

Maybe Liberty has finally decided to move on from the overrated "Braves Way." Send all those sons of bitches to the retirement home.

Essentially....there to collect paychecks and play golf.
Just like he has been doing since he got hired there as he never controlled the team, it was the old guard that did.

Ken Rosenthal of The Atlantic is reporting that while Commissioner Rob Manfred is still not finished trying to determine just how severe the penalty will be for the team’s actions, the Braves will probably receive a “substantial” fine, restrictions in future international signing markets that amounts to being “severe,” and the loss of prospects signed from Latin America is basically guaranteed

How would that work? Would they become international free agents and it’d just be the same process for teams to sign the players?

NOVEMBER 20: League action seems to be imminent, as Ben Badler of Baseball America reports that MLB has set meetings for tomorrow with certain Braves prospects.
NOVEMBER 15: It’s been more than a month since Braves general manager John Coppolella and international scouting director Gordon Blakely resigned amid a league investigation into what has since been reported to be an “unprecedented” level of rules violations on the international market and in the domestic amateur draft. While there’s yet to be any official resolution, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Braves will “definitely” lose some prospects that were signed out of Latin America.
Previous reports have suggested that top 2016-17 signing Kevin Maitan, who received a $4.25MM signing bonus, could be among any potential losses, though it’s not yet clear which prospect(s) Atlanta stands to lose. There could be further penalties yet, however, as David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution tweeted earlier this morning that it seems likely that the Braves will be banned from signing any international amateurs for at least one signing period. O’Brien also noted that there’s a “good chance” the Braves will lose some prospects as punishment, while Mark Bowman of MLB.com tweeted that he’d be “surprised” if the Braves didn’t lose at least one prospect, listing Maitain, Ji-Hwan Bae and Abrahan Gutierrez as potential prospects that could be impacted.

Braves ruling expected today. Kevin Maitan will be freed ($4.2M signing, infielder). Others may be too.

Will Atlanta be able to resign him or is he gone completely?

I take it because the loss of pool money we won't have the funds since he falls back into the IFA. I do, wonder, however, what's to stop Maitan from saying he wants to remain with the organization since he gets to keep his signing bonus?

Braves will have like $300k to spend. No chance.
