Pro football's financial structure allows the Green Bay and Buffalo's to compete for a championship.

College football's structure is so heavily titled toward status quo to the bluebloods, I find the opposite to be true. Seeing the same small handful of teams compete for the title year after year is as predictable as it is boring.

The players competing are not boring, but the same schools are. Spoken as a fan of a have-not.

but college football puts out a much more exciting product largely because of the lack of polish and lack parity.

I personally hate college ball because i dont need to see games on the schedule that end up 72-6. There is just way too much fluff and unnecessary tune up games.

The college atmosphere is incredible and im not trying to knock the whole sport. I just prefer the pros

I lost interest when the league became woke. Just shut up and play ball.

While I agree with most of what you said, it’s still catching up to the college product for me.

Or maybe CFB is trending the wrong way for me.

It's the latter, and I agree.

I don’t find the NFL boring. It’s just not as exciting as CFB.

Though unless Auburn can get its shite together, I don’t know if I’ll find CFB exciting all that much longer. Teenagers and 20 year olds getting paid more money than I’ll ever make in life and bad football? No thanks.

The NFL has the highest amount of talent. That leads to some staleness, but professional football is light years more interesting than any other professional sport.

Now do basketball

This reminds me of an old pickup line I used to use….. ‘my dick is longer than the end of a close basketball game’

The fact that nearly half the league ends up in the playoff

Better than the 85% of teams in the NBA that make it to their playoffs.

Different strokes different folks. No shame

I love the NFL. Parity means your team is never just doomed to a bad eternity (for the most part), the system helps them. Whereas in CFB unless you're one of maybe 15 programs, you will never ever win a natty. Literally no point in even watching. Example...Oklahoma St. It is literally not even worth your time to watch OSU. They will never get a natty. And it's pretty much just because they aren't an elite historical program

Biggest reason why the NBA outside of the playoffs is borderline unwatchable.

I believe CFB is trending the wrong way. I believe NIL and all this conf realignment for TV money is going to eventually takes it's toll on CFB. You are going to end up with 5-6 teams that can afford to pay for all the top players, and they will get all the tv money. Especially if they break from the NCAA.

So you don’t like professional sports. That’s all you had to say.

College football is borderline unwatchable to me at this point outside of really big matchups. The portal has absolutely killed my interest in it. I liked seeing players grow and improve. I’m happy they’re getting their sue but it just makes it way less interesting to me.

And it's getting to the point where programs are more interested in filling their roster using the portal rather than unproven high school kids. Deon is front and center when it comes to this. He's said so on many occasions. Why go slobber after a high school kid, set him up with NIL, when you can get someone proven from the portal.

I think it’s boring because most of the time possession is flipped because the offense fails to do something rather than the defense stopping the offense.

Third and 10, 15, 20… it’s completely inconsequential in today’s NFL. The offenses have such an advantage and so much skill on top of that that even the most dire game situations are completely manageable. I understand that some people like that. That’s okay… it’s just not for me. That’s out of balance football to me.

The continuation of an offensive drive usually boils down to either a receiver catching a ball… or a penalty. If neither happens, possession flips. The defense might as well be standing there scratching its arse. Oh, and everyone runs the same offense, too. Zero variety.

NFL football was way better to watch in the 80’s and 90’s than this.

Because any nationally-televised CFB game is taking 4+ hours this year. That’s a long time to watch anything.

I didn’t like NFL for most of my life, in the sense I only watched the Super Bowl. College football was the thing.

This path “college” football has been on now for the past decade + has me watching NFL more than college.

I knew that CFB wasn’t sterile when I was 13 years old. Bankrolling recruits and the transfer portal aspects doesn’t excite me. It makes me frustrated that you can pay players now. Under the table or putting money under a rug. I liked the sport better when I was in my college years even when lsu would finish 8-4 or 9-3.

The No call rams game broke my interest and trust in the NFL. I can’t prove games are influenced in the NFL but it seems to be shady at times.

The bigger reason is they don't fricking try until the playoffs.
