in Div 1 Select the left side of the bracket is much tougher imo. Holy Cross got best draw, STM and Jesuit got the worst

Agree. I expect Brother Martin to reach the final.

WM got tough draws

Sam Houston out the gate is about as tough as it comes. They’re very good and 5 of their 6 losses were by a single run. Sam Houston, Northwood, and Barbe to get to the finals where Live Oak will likely be waiting…Geez…That’s a crazy draw that could end at any moment. All of those teams could win it all.

I kind of like Benton on the top half of that bracket and Barbe or Sam Houston on the bottom.

That Dutchtown series was a gauntlet.

???

They have the easiest path by far, which they should since they’re the #1 seed. 4 of the top 5 are on the bottom of the bracket. They have a waltz to the finals. Good for them for taking care of business all year.

I agree this is the easiest path. Our pitching is down at Mandeville we lost our ace to injury and 1 of our starters who throws 90 quit the team because he wasn't playing center field as a sophomore. Northshore is overated in my eyes we beat them with a freshman relief pitcher starting a mid week game. Denham has lost 9 of 11 to finish the year with the only 2 wins against Prairieville. Walker may be the best team outside of Live Oak.

Live Oak has gone through a gauntlet… the strongest schedule in nonselect D1

Weakest among playoff teams is Slidell’s

We beat Walker… it’s either Barbe or West Monroe until they’re both gone

It dawned on me that that may have been what you meant after I made my post.

Working on rankings. Will edit this post with a link once it's published.

Covenant Christian, Dutchtown are big movers this week.

West Monroe is not nearly as talented as last year. They benefit from a pretty weak baseball district as well. Ruston was good, and seems well coached. ASH can be pretty ok at times, but lack of offense is way too frequent. I tihnk in non select it will be a 1 v 2 final, if Haughton gets bats hot, they may can pull the upset. My absolute come from nowhare longshot is Zachary. Select, I dont see anyone that is going to unseat Catholic, and if someone does it will be Brother Martin. No one else is going to challenge in my opinion.

Good ranks IMO

PBHS 7
STM. 4

I think both teams threw every available arm they intend to use in a 3 game series
