He is. But Molinari chased him down.
Bigger point is, it’s better anyway if it’s a shootout rather than a meltdown. Give me Stenson vs Mickelson instead of Jean van de velde or Kenny Perry.

Tiger also hasn’t been his best yet. When he wins on Sunday and starts to become the real tiger again, the younguns will melt.
How do you know? This may be as good as he is. Your statement is more a leap of faith than anything. He's as liable to shoot 73 tomorrow as go low. If he does, it'll be a great Sunday. But some of the fanboys need to slow their rolls.

Yeah, I'm not gonna pollute the thread bashing Tiger all day like some guys do. But, the fanboys with the hurr durr Big Cat is back every time he hits a good a shot drive me insane. In any event, it's great theater when he's in contention. I hope he loses by a shot.

Anybody else at the Jon Daly Hooters event?

What are y’all missing with Tiger’s game?
His old and surgically repaired arse is EASILY a top 10 golfer in the world and he has room to improve.
How in any way is that a fanboy opinion?

He's been in the mix at 2 majors on the weekend in the comeback. He shot 66-71 and 66-64.
He's much more likely to shoot 69 than 73

You guys live and die by every shot of a guy who hasn't won a major in a decade. It's sad, but I get it. I was the same way with Federer when he hadn't won a major in like five years.
You like Spieth so I am not gonna go after you too much.

It’s a big deal.
Also Fed went 5 years without winning a major?

Golf is better with tiger in contention. That is a stone cold fact.

How many other players have been "in the mix" on the weekend during the same time frame? Are we going to wax rhapsodic over them, too? At this point, Tiger is JAG at the upper levels of the game. He's not Tiger of 15 years ago. And, more importantly, the top players aren't the ones who went soft 15 years ago, either.

What anyone else does has nothing to do with what Tiger is going to do this weekend.
He might not win. But he's going to play well and give himself a damn good chance.
It's what he does.

This is why it was such a huge win for Tiger to get within one today, even though his round should’ve been better. He went into the weekend six shots off the lead at both the PGA and the Open iirc. He played well enough to win the PGA but that was just too large of a deficit to overcome with the way Koepka was playing

He won the tour championship. Finished second in the PGA

Oh yeah thanks for the consolation, a-hole.
