I don’t like Bethpage because how the USGA just makes it impossible and had to water greens between groups

Well when you're growing a cool season grass in summer temperatures at height of .08"..it's basically on the verge of death. Also Bethpage is public, so they rely heavily on that for revenue. Can't have dead greens.
There's an old saying in the golf maintenance world, 'You haven't really been a USGA agronomist until you've killed someone else's greens'

I think Chambers Bay will end up being that course you just say damn this is impossible
I can’t wait until the open goes back there and it’s not as new

Bethpage is a great test especially for a US Open. Also you left Oakmont off, I went the last time the US Open was there and it is breath taking if not for rain it is proabably the hardest golf course I have ever seen.

Does the broadcast exaggerate the lighting? I swear I'm on the same lattitude as Augusta and it's full dusk here.
When things end late they'll show how dark it really is and it's always WAY darker than the broadcast cameras show.

A lot of courses don't want continual Majors either. The members get all pissy at the constant construction involved to keep pace.

Any of y'all had the opportunity to play a PGA course in tournament conditions. I'm from Memphis and my best friend was members at TPC Southwind so I played there fairly regularly in my teens and they would leave the course in tournament conditions with tournament pins the week following the FedEx St Jude. It really makes you respect how good these guys are when you play the same course they do. And TPC Southwind isn't even the most difficult course on tour or anything. I couldn't imagine having any fun playing a US Open course in those conditions

Erin Hills, Pebble, Murifield and GC of Houston. In order of difficultly.

I couldn’t imagine. I make Charles Barkley look like Ben Hogan. But I like trying to play. People talk how they smoke Nitros 300 etc. hell im happy if I hit it 150 and straight.

This feels like a bubba Watson kind of year at the masters.
Take that back.

Paul Casey is the lucky player to get paired with Jeff Knox. Vegas has Knox at -140 vs Casey
