Tom Watson was 59 when he almost won in 2009

and Watson could barely get around the course and was completely gassed out by the end of day 4

Phil is honestly probably in better physical shape now than he was 15 years ago

Not at an age where I grew up watching Tom Watson but I'm not sure I've ever wanted someone to win a tournament as bad as I wanted Watson to win that Open. Was such a good story, but heartbreaking end.

I'm a LAB fanboy so kind of annoyed Wyndham Clark is now using one

He played his nuts off at the Country Club and that shot on 18 to win was a GREAT major championship shot

But that was before you watched golf so I’m not shocked you don’t know that

You literally talked about how Fitzpatrick isn’t very good in this thread earlier

He just is so much like Wyndham (as you even pointed out ) when it comes to golf. He completely disappears and plays such average golf for long periods

In the context of their wins, absolutely not. Like not at all

He isn’t, but he won his major and was a deserving winner. Played his arse off, and that second shot on 18 was fricking nails

You can be a mule and be a deserving champion, you just didn’t watch the tournament

right there with Fitz

Both seem like good dudes but it just isn’t fun watching guys like them win majors. I’m sure they don’t care I think that

Rory made one birdie, on the first hole, and had every opportunity to win and couldn’t do shite. And Wyndham queefed his tee shot on 18 into a 100 yard wide fairway. He got crowned

Yeah, there was one of those long pine straws that was touching the ball and then when he swung he hit the straw which moved the ball

Listen to the voiceover guy with the "Irish accent" when they're coming back from commercial. It 100% sounds like a regular English speaker trying to do a fake Irish accent.

You idiots are in a country full of people who talk like actual Irish people. Grab one.

They have to penalize him for that. Too obvious

It wasn’t intentional. I’m not sure Lowry even knows that it moved
