Xander almost missed the cut. Holes 6 through 9 are absolutely brutal, tough to finish on those.

Somebody from over par will shoot pretty low in the morning like spaun and get to -1 or so and the afternoon will come and these leaders will drop down to -1 so the lead will be held by a current +4 to Even player. IMO

My prediction last night

Rory is +6

In this course was a par 72 he is +2

It’s crazy how much different the arbitrary par makes a tournament feel

The guy literally topping balls in the bunker is winning the Open?

Open plays just like Pebble did this year when it was wet and windy. Sepp finished T-7
Who was on top of the leaderboard? Oh look at that Open Champions, Rory, Lowry, almost winner Justin Rose and US Open winner Lucas Glover. Its also in Ireland

What’s Wyndham doing on 9? I need him to par and make this cut.

It isn't arbitrary, a par 70 course only has two par 5s instead of 4.

Just got home from Oakmont and I was shocked at the amount of dope being smoked all damn day. It smelled like a skunk BBQ all damn day. Golf course is awesome, greens ridiculous, but don’t go to a US Open thinking you’re getting regular tour stop rope lines. A few holes you couldn’t even walk down and had to watch from a fairway over or a grandstand on another hole. Scottie’s gallery was 20 deep, Bryson had an impressive following and turns out everybody still loves Phil. Also it’s amazing how much TV edits out but these dudes are slow as shite.

Its 100% arbitrary

This course is over 7500 yards

It has a 300 yard par 3 and 500 yard par 5s

You just change the “par” on the holes and nothing changes but how people view it. Total strokes is what matters

Par literally doesn’t matter

fricking Phil. The last 4 holes pretty much sums up his US Open history.

I’m calling it a day if I’m him.

Id say normal people

Watch the reaction to “only X amount of people are under par!”

Or

“The cut is plus 7!!”

+2 is still not great. Not sure what point you’re making.

Well team Burns here. Looooong way to go but I hope he wins it.

He's a putting machine.

You're talking about adjusting Rory's score in relation to par if it was par 72 instead but the number of par 4s and 5s would be different so you can't just say he would be +2 instead.
