His philosophy should be very conservative these days, middle of the fairway, middle of the greens, and try to squeeze out a decent score.
He’s doing the opposite. It doesn’t matter if he has a bad lie in some wasteland, with a bad angle to an impossible pin placement. He decides to go pin hunting, and ends up in a worst predicament.
It’s kind of fun watching a guy currently with his C- game out there gripping and ripping his way around a US Open.

Y’all really overreacting to a 74 in a US Open.
Probably the same guys who claimed “he doesn’t care anymore” when he was about to miss the cut at PGA Championship & then he made 4 birdies his last 7 holes to make the cut.
