I was going to bring this up(without seeing the odds) and say I think Clark might be favored over Rickie tomorrow

Rickie was pissed he didn’t get to play with Rory and have to watch Wyndham do that putting routine another 18 and it made him goof that last putt. I would much rather play with Rory. Rory is gonna win. It’s his time

Same thing was said about Brooks.

But he definitely has the momentum.

Oh, so you picking the guys that have never won a major, ever?

Your realistic choices are

Two guys that have never won a major ever before or a guy two strokes back who has won one major and can’t make a putt to save his life right now?

Rory clearly may not win, but using your logic, nobody is going to win and the trophy will go unclaimed I guess

I guess 2 things are really a bad fit for me at this venue. The fairways are just too wide to make this course intimidating. And where are the crazy fans? The combination of LA laid-back and the fact you can't put many on this property keeps this place from any real rowdiness at all.

What’s the winning score?

-12 gets a playoff and -13 wins outright?

Or -11 is a playoff and -12 wins outright?

The fact the winning score will be double-digit makes it as rare as hen teeth. The birdies are there for the taking, so who knows? There is nothing anyone can do for the front 9 but hope they don't start the back 9 with a 29.

Has already happened 3 times in the last 12 years

Guys going low at the us open is going to be really hard to prevent in modern times without making the course stupid

-6 to -12 or so is going to be the common winning scores

Also, of the four guys in contention, two are dads

Rickie and Rory

Look for the golf gods to pick the winner from there

Between Rory, Clark, and Fowler, I think at least two of them shoot E or better. Don’t see how -10 wins outright unless the course is ramped up even more than yesterday late

And 4 times, ever. This course isn't scaring anyone and it doesn't make me think that you can't go low if you play smart golf on the back 9. There have been 2 62s and Tom Kim shot 29 on the front yesterday. Birdies are there and that's not what normally comes to mind on a Sunday US Open. We've seen 3 Aces on one hole.

The late-night stuff was the biggest problem for the leaders yesterday on the back 9.

Clark said. "I would say right around hole 15 or 16 it started getting to where you couldn't see that well. We played twilight golf."

Clark said his bogey on the 17th was "100 percent" because he couldn't see, and he said Fowler's on No. 18 was "because he couldn't see." Clark said he couldn't see his putts on the last two holes, and that he and Fowler "just played off of feel."

Rickie wearing sunglasses didn't help but LA has gone out of its way in being ridiculous in other ways than putting a US Open course on edge.

Sunset in LA was at 8:15 local time. They finished their round at 8:15. How could it be that dark? I’m not buying that shite

Go outside tonight at 8:05 and tell me you can’t see well. It’s still very bright. There is

Would probably be best to focus on the golf the last 3 rounds instead of letting the final score get you down.

Clearly the first day wasn’t ideal with the scoring but we know why it was the case. Sense then, and this includes a Friday that still saw no sun, scoring has been much more difficult.

With weekend conditions, we’re looking at a winner somewhere between -1 and -5 most likely.

That’s your take? And not, “well, Rickie was wearing fricking sunglasses so I think Wyndham is embellishing just a tad.”
