Stop thinking any decision makers care that these games are blowouts. People are still going to watch. People watching means money.

what part of that doesn't exemplify college football to you?

That he is getting paid to play to get shook and play a bad half on the road in a 20 degree whiteout at one of the hardest places when there are young boys around.

You cannot expect a committee to pick 12 teams and let those teams play each other and expect all the games to be competitive. That is just not how it works. Not this year not any year.

The playoff system was good at four teams and honestly a two team BCS was the best system we had.

Not all teams play well every week, which is what you are seeing today. All these games are blowouts.

I think you do 8 teams…5 highest ranked conference champs and 3 at large, but no more than 2 teams from any conference. If you don’t win your conference, you have no excuse. Use BCS computers to determine at large teams and overall seeding.

All first round games on campus. Bowls rotate for semis and final. Some years the big bowls will need to take non playoff teams. They’ll live.

Also, higher seeds play lowest seeds every round like the NFL playoffs.

you'll have to wait and compare the revenue from these extra games to the 4 team playoff. I'd imagine that they'll keep expanding until the revenue stops going up. They don't care about whether the product suffers.

Going by the committee's own logic a 4 team playoff would have meant UGA gets left out due to QB injury.

I'm sure all of y'all would have been juuuust fine w/that.

Yes, these first few games were not great, but I still think this is the best format right now. I don’t want blow outs, but that is on the teams - they need to be held accountable and play better. Texas, OSU, Notre Dame, and Penn St looked like they belonged. I also think there are other teams that could have put up a better fight (yes Bama could have played a better game, but they also laid a few nasty eggs during the season - so did Ole Miss and SCar). However, let those chips fall where they fall and let’s keep this 12 dog rodeo going.
