Yes, because
1. I don't like the byes - so you have to go to 8 or 16 teams
2. Get the 16 REAL teams - This is how you get the REAL 16 teams:
a. No Automatic Bids
b. No Conference Championship Games
c. No extra "power" game for SEC or any other conference for that matter during the season.

Should be 8 teams, no byes.
Top 5 conference champs and 3 wildcards. Use the BCS Standings to seed the teams. frick the committee. Top 4 seeds host in Round 1.
This rewards the top 1 or 2 seeds by giving them a home game against likely one of the shitty conference champs where they’ll be big favorites.
This year it would have been:
ASU @ Oregon
Boise @ UGA
Penn State @ Notre Dame
Ohio State @ Texas

Take away those 2 pick 6's and PSU has scored 17 offensive points, at home, against SMU. The Big Ten is weak. OSU will lose to Tennessee tonight.

This is variable year to year. We’ve seen years where 6 teams look great. 4 teams look great. Sometimes 2019 LSU, 2022-2023 Georgia happens and they are just planet better than everyone all season. But it’s not every season.

Yes that’s exactly what I want. This is garbage. The only reason SMU is 11-1 is because they played no one. SMU and Indiana would both have losing records in the SEC but we’re supposed to pretend they are better than Bama, Ole Miss, and South Carolina because we’re not fans of those schools? The committee has the flexibility to select the schools that can compete as opposed to just putting schools in because we feel sorry for them.

Better yet, let’s just pick the 12 teams with the highest blue chip ratio. Just skip the season and go straight to the playoffs.
