There’s a zero percent chance that you’d be in here whining about baseball if Vitello and the guys in ugly orange had figured out a way to beat LSU.
We all know how much you’d be beating your chest given the opportunity, BUT Tennessee got owned in this CWS twice by the Tigers.

Great pitching by both teams, great defensive plays by both teams to keep runners off base the few times they got a hit and the reason there were too few hits is because of GREAT PITCHING.
Both teams were swinging at pitches that made it look like they had holes in their bats.
That play on the bunt by Morgan is highlight reel quality and that walk-off homer by LSU will be remembered for many years to come.

While Skenes was his usual fantastic, Wake's starter was probably just a little better yesterday by virtue of looking at the pitch count. Got the same results with less pitches through 7 full innings.
Masterful for both teams. Including the relievers late.

What made the game impressive was the fact that LSU and Wake both had the most high powered offenses in the nation and they couldn’t do shite because the pitching on both sides were both amazing. That’s what made the game so interesting to me.
