It’s really hard to appreciate the offense when defense is so atrocious and flags flying non stop

meh. yes, offenses are scoring more due to rules. but the NFL isnt going to be this. these are two great offensive coaches with great offensive weapons with defenses that have large holes or key injuries. i dont think you will ever see a NFL where both teams are scoring over 50

and even then, we only got here because of three defensive touchdowns

Agreed. It was an exciting game but it wasn't good football.

Did y’all realize the defenses got like 3 TD

I think it was exactly 3 TDs. That was almost the only way the defenses could stop them.

This is why I almost turned the game off. These "all star" crews are worse than the preseason crews.

It’s comical. The fact that a defensive player is player of this game, should be enough to give you an idea of how they want the direction of this league to go

Listen to the questions they’re asking this guy:

“How confident are you guys going forward after a game like this”

Pumping them up like they did something worth a frick

This Brees season definitely needs an asterisk compared to some of the older great seasons from Manning, Brady, etc

Hell, I pretty much discount Brady's, Manning's and Rodgers' numbers, too. Ever since Goodell allowed Robert Kraft to ruin the game because Tom Brady got his knee hurt with ridiculous rules changes, all the QB numbers are pretty much meaningless.
If anyone thinks any single season QB accomplishments compare to Dan Marino's 1984 records when you didn't have bullshite "defenseless receiver" rules, flags on 2/3 of pass plays and a legal contact area on QBs smaller than MLB strike zones than you are woefully misguided.

yeah the mel blount rule though.

i'm sure it was awful back then but it's not so awful now if you ask me.

these same fricking arse holes that you and PJ still kneel at the alter of filed lawsuits against the NFL.

so that's why the rules have changed.

and then we have to watch you have your cake and eat it too?

no thanks old man.

frick all of that.

your old school generation sued the league and that's why it's softer today.

so spare me this new softer generation act.

The NFL isn't what it use to be because former players are fricked up cause people didn't listen back then.

don't cut down our fricking game now cause you couldn't get it right back then.

geez.
