The SEC gained a great road-trip destination in the deal.

This is a dumb thread. They finished 2nd in men’s capitol one cup for 2022 and tied for first for women.

I don’t like Texas but they have a very good athletic program despite their recent football woes.

How bad must the Big XII be if they are willing to give up being the lords of that conference, to be a middle of the pack team here in the SEC?

LSU
Alabama
Florida
Georgia
Auburn
Tennessee

All have superior total departments compared to the Whorns.

Plus they give up their stupid network and their unequal revenue distributions.

Did you think Texas and their fans care more about winning over making more money?

These two don’t strike me as having great overall athletic programs. Granted, I’m not looking at director’s cup info, but when you think major sports, UGa is tops in 1, and not really a factor in the others. That includes WBB. Florida will have some great years in baseball, but I’m not seeing it for their other sports. Big drop off in FB and BB.

Why do you have LSU listed above Alabama?

best overall athletic program in the SEC.

I don’t know, maybe because LSU has the most total National Championships in the SEC, at 48. LSU is the most well-rounded athletic program, competing in all sports, followed by Florida.
