Jeff Huson, the typical Texas Ranger in that he’s nondescript and no one ever heard of him, not even his own “fans.”

I picked them for a wildcard and everyone laughed at me.

Says more about the Rangers as a franchise than how they've played this year

Rusty Greer

When I think of the Ballpark in Arlington and those Red and White uniforms my first audible thought is Chuck Morgan saying "Now batting, Left Fielder, Rustyyy Greeeeer".

This has certainly never backfired in April.

It’s baseball, there is always a surprise team. Anyone paying attention can see they’ve put some good pieces in place.

Hence why there are some pretty torqued up about the current start.

While beyond cringe to shoot your mouth of about the hypothetical peak of the team, it’s hard to blame my brethren that have endured the last 5-6 years.

It’s clear to anybody paying attention that the team from the front office to those in the clubhouse everyday have undergone a metamorphosis in regards to expectations and approach to winning.

We have drafted pretty well and that’s led to the club having one of the deepest farm systems in baseball at the moment. Ownership has also shown willingness to spend in FA which in addition to the new stadium, has resulted in the club emerging as a destination for both elite position players and pitchers.

I’m not saying we’ll ever win shite. We never have. Why would something good happen in my life after 32-years of misery?? But man, I can only do so many seasons watching 100+ games and losing more than that figure at the finish.

The very first baseball game I saw at any level was Nolan’s 299th win. I was 7 or so. This team has been my favorite since then, so yea I’m definitely ready to see them raise a trophy.

I’m a realistic person, yes it is in fact April, the calendar doesn’t lie. But there is something about this team I like already and I think they will make some noise in the West.

Totally agree. I’ve watched a big majority of games over the last decade or so. Became a serial viewer in college and I’m very invested.

We are definitely on the up and should be competing for playoffs/division for the next 3-4 years if not longer.

Only thing I hate about this shite is all the bandwagon fairies that will show up out of the woodwork. Last thing I want to see is a ton of no-name posters in the daily Rangers thread (will return) that were nowhere to be found when we had lost like 18 straight road series against Oakland and Seattle.

That’s to be expected when a team gets hot. Lots of Dodgers hats got bought the past few years.

Hope I can get out to Globe and catch a series this year.
