Bochy is a good manager, but it helps that they've loaded up on talent the last few years too.

When I visited my parents, we would always watch the Ranger games if it was baseball season. I wish my parents were around to see what could be a successful season.

I honestly feel like he was the missing piece. Dude brings a winning mindset to the clubhouse immediately. Losing is contagious but winning is ADDICTIVE.

My aunt and uncle lived in Plano when I was growing up and had season tickets. They used to always mail me the DMN when there were big tribute articles to Nolan. I’ve got some cool newspapers with big full page color tributes to him.

I was fortunate to go to a lot of games in the 90s. Have a pic standing in front of the BPIA when it was under construction. Saw Ryan vs Clemens in the old park. Those mitts were on fire haha.

Made the drive from north Louisiana to Arlington the day Canseco was traded to the Rangers. Was my 2nd favorite player behind Nolan. When the papers said that morning he had been traded to the Rangers, my mom loaded up me and a buddy and hauled our arse to see his first game. I was 11. Skipped school like a gangster. The good ole days.

It was the Schitty Connect uniforms. This was a message from the team to the front office - never again.

I was there. Uniforms sucked. Pitching for Gray was spotty. He ran out of steam after 3 innings and everyone could see he was struggling. Only 5 strike-outs the whole game for Texas. Fielding generally sucked, with left and center field collision, 3rd, 2nd and St missing hits they should have stopped and Lowe was spotty at first base. Overall, a sloppy effort by the Rangers against a team they shouldn't have lost to.

Thanks for the breakdown, I didn’t get to watch. Gotta put it behind em and regain momentum.

Right, it’s not like they were short on SOME talent last year… manager sucked and they were young, Semien kinda busted at first, etc.

They added DeGrom and some of the younger guys have played well, Bochy is instilling a winning culture. They will be a problem for some teams this year and the future is bright.
