For football in the state of Texas it makes sense because teams can be 7-8 hours away from each other.

Oh no. I get that part.

I meant, like, our in city rival, they made us go play 30 minutes outside of the city for whatever reason. It was very dumb.

Doesn't matter where that's played, not going to be competitive.

All are the names of the actual town the school is in aside from Heritage and La Vega.

Aledo recruits like crazy.

With what?

Aledo is 15 miles past the 820 loop in Fort Worth and there is next to nothing between them. Not even a Wal-Mart.

The first four are all cities. Calallen was the name of the original land owner. La Vega is named for the original Spanish land grant.

Now Midlothian Heritage makes no sense, it's the second high school in the district after Midlothian. (The city is named for the Scottish city.)

It’s just Heritage High School. Lots of schools are referred to with their ISD first to differentiate.

Yes, just like La Vega, Connally and Robinson in Waco.

Media always puts Waco La Vega, Waco Connally, Waco Midway, etc….

My baws are up 27-0 right now.

Glad to be going to a third playoff game vs Carthage. This will be our best shot. Hope the game isn’t too far away.

Was 28-7 Bridgeland versus College Park

Closed it to 28-21 but Weigman just took it 90 yards to the house.

35-21 with under 3 minutes to go
