TAMU is getting a great one in CW. And Haynes King can play as well.

Clubnik at Westlake is phenomenal also.

We’ll see. We should have beaten them in the quarter finals a few years back but missed like 4 FG’s in the 2H and lost in double OT I believe.

I also went to the game last year and Carthage took care of business pretty easily.

We are undefeated this year which is the first time in a decade-plus and second time ever. I haven’t seen us play this year but I’ve heard they have a chance.

Should be interesting!’

TAMU has a very solid class incoming.

Side note: LSU has zero Top 100 Texas recruits.

Unless it’s changed since I was last around the scene, the four head coaches agree upon a site when matchups are official. I haven’t heard anything about fields just randomly changing.

I thought in TX you either booked a neutral site or flipped a coin for the home game…

Westlake wanted Rattler and for some reason not backing off of it, maybe I read the article wrong.

If all four coaches of potential matchup teams agree, it can be done that way.

For instance, Rockwall, Desoto, Harker Heights and North Garland all decided that the two winners would go to Globe Life in the next round.

Sometime, that isnt the case. Usually when the 4 teams could produce match ups with differing geography. In those cases, the teams have to agree on a neutral site, or if they cant, they will flip a coin for either home and home, or selected neutral sites.

I know San Marcos is halfway between Austin and NB

Just only saw that Dodge and NB involved in game site. That’s why I thought Dodge was up to his shenanigans again They said negotiations began Friday night. Which is why it was strange.

I remember we used to have to play in city HS basketball games against our rival 30+ minutes away from either one of our schools which was completely moronic.

For football in the state of Texas it makes sense because teams can be 7-8 hours away from each other.

Also is fun for the players playing at neutral sites. I played at the old Floyd Casey like 10 times, Kyle Field, old Cowboy Stadium, etc….

Aledo recruits like crazy. Many players from my high school have magically moved to Aledo after a good sophomore or junior season. My high school is like a minor league feeder system for Aledo

Didn’t you go somewhere in Arlington? Aledo is a way better school with a top program. It doesn’t have to recruit itself very much
