Athens and Carthage should be good!
Carthage won against their district foe earlier this year, 61-56

While Vandy isn’t last years team, the team is much better than game 1 vs Drip. I think it’s closer (no homerism)

Region 2 - South Oak Cliff v Port Neches-Groves
#1 and #3 meeting in the quarters. Were in separate regions until like 2 or 3 years ago. Met in the Championship game in back to back years I believe. Co-workers son is a pretty good WR for PNG.

Some of these schools like Melissa and Celina are on borrowed time because those districts are being overrun by Indians who likely wont be interested in playing football
Maybe. Maybe not. If they keep it at one school per town and make one giant school like Allen did then they will still compete at a high level. If they make three schools like Plano, Then no one will really care. And Frisco has so many schools that divides up the talent.

Yes please. They show the 6 man finals on TV here in Georgia and I love watching it played.
Other cool thing about TX high school FB is that playoff games are played at agreed upon neutral sites located between the two schools.

Just updated to show 6-man.
I’ve always liked this too. It gives me a chance to see some schools I wouldn’t normally see. It utilizes bigger stadiums. I did like it when state championships were also played around the state instead of at one site. I wish they would at least rotate that site and maybe use NRG in Houston and the Alamodome. I know there are logistical issues to that idea though.
I think it’s crazy that one year, a neutral site for Mesquite Horn and Longview was played at Independence Stadium in Shreveport

What's the guidelines for hosting and or neutral sites for Texas playoffs?
I get that sometime schools are hundreds of miles apart, and in-between sites are needed, but what if schools are close (e.g. DFW metroplex)? Can schools host on home fields?
