why does kubiak get so much hate?

the team has improved a ton while he's been there and he's created a great O while trying to build a D with no talent outside of ryans and dunta (who then had a horrible injury)

and I'm sure your rb slaton was the top rb in the draft

You act like good RB's can't be found in later rounds and that a team needs 1 dominant back. hat year.

i'm not saying that. However, this years draft is very very light on late round rb talent that can contribute from day 1.

they still need at least 1 more CB also

that's 3 positions out of 11

Yea but there D is already bottom middle of the pack for the AFC. You're acting like they need a top 5 D.

bullshite

the late round talent is always the same

the top level guys aren't as highly valued now b/c it's not worth it

hell charles scott and keiland williams aren't that far behind a dwyer. both will prolly be 3-5 round picks

Most people were happy the the first 2 years, but now people are feeling a little frustrated being basically .500 3 years in a row. Its also how they got there this year. They were 5-4 and getting a lot of buzz before the MNF game vs Tenn and you know who. They blew that, they 6 days later blow a 17-0 lead at home to Indy, follow that with a loss at Jaxville to stand at 5-7. Then they won the last 4. I'm fine with him, I think he has done a preety good job, but if he can't get ove the hump, its time to find someone that can. Take Atl for example, they were 3-13 in 07 with a rookie QB and coach and made the playoffs. Its not that hard to go from 8-8 to 11-5 in the NFL these days.

yeah um ok....
the late round talent is not the same. You can't really believe that?

are you serious? please tell me that's a joke? You think Scott and Williams are anywhere near Dwyer? You gotta be kiddin me. Williams will be lucky to get drafted. Scott will be lucky if he goes before round 6.

RB's are the NFL's fungible good. They are truly disposable and you can always find another. There's a few stars, but most of them are completely replaceable by freely available talent.

what? He was a 3rd round and ran for 1200 yds as a rookie. The guy I really wanted in that draft was Charles who was also a 3rd rounder.

What does contribute from day 1 mean? If he doesn't do anything in the opener he can't produce at all the entire year? Is there anyone they can get at 20 like Peterson? I didn't think so.

you wanna go compare the late round talent from the past few years to this year's crop?

dwyer is a guy who played FB in an option system in a shite conference. he's a big guy who isn't that fast, but is a solid runner

dwyer is a "solid" guy

charles scott is a "solid" guy

keiland is a boom or bust big play guy

you are getting irritated when i said y'all could get the 2nd best rb in the draft. I was saying you seem hapy with Slaton who for sure wasn't the first.

It means guys that can actually do anything in their rookie year. They can take the 1st team snaps in training camp. A guy with a quick learning curve and the ability to play right away.

RB is by far the easiest position to transition to the NFL. DT is 2nd

because 2nd best in the draft is a meaningless term. The 2nd best RB could be a top 5 player (E James, R. Williams) or he could be a 2nd rounder. Put another way the 4th best S may grade at 85, while the 2nd best RB may be 80, I'd rather a better player at another position of need.

right, cause I don't care where so and so ranked at his position in the draft. Slaton was productive as a rookie even though there may have 6 RB's taken in front of him. A lot depends on his surgery, if it goes bad, it may be a bigger need. I'd much rather Earl Thomas than Dwter regardless.

like 3rd rounder Steve Slaton?

quality big backs:

blount
c. scott
dixon
s. johnson
ben tate

a big brusing back with decent speed. He has everything you want at RB.

ok. RB is easier than some positions but I wouldn't say it's the easiest.
