I'd much rather Earl Thomas than Dwyer regardless.

fair enough.

like 3rd rounder Steve Slaton?

He isn't an every down back. Aside from that this year like I have been saying is light on talent in the 3rd round down.

a big brusing back with decent speed.

who hasn't proven he can line up in the i and run at a high level. and his speed isn't anything special

plus he ran against shite competition

RB is easier than some positions but I wouldn't say it's the easiest.

no it is the easiest

why else do so many RBs make major impacts as rookies?

what's easier punter? kicker maybe? No position do as many rookies have an impact historically than RB.

quality big backs:

blount
c. scott
dixon
s. johnson
ben tate

quality scat backs:

royster
murray
fletcher

the word quality is thrown around loosely isn't it?
I'll give you Blount. However, he would have been a 1st rounder aside from the Boise State Incident.

Scott has major problems making cuts he is more of just a bruiser. He will be lucky to go before round 6.

Dixon is a solid 2nd round back. I really like him. However, he isn't very elusive and he lacks a 2nd gear.

Johnson is talented no doubt. However, he is still recovering from throat surgery. He wasn't that good at the senior bowl. he will be lucky to be drafted. He lacks great speed.

Tate i like. he is a guy I think could be a good 3rd rounder. I like him better than most who have him going in the 4th. From what i've heard he has had a fumbling problem though.

Royster? he isn't even in the top 35 at the position.

Murray opted to stay in school.

Fletcher isn't in the top 35 at the position either.

yeah. Miami,UGA, UNC, Miss. state, FSU, Virginia Tech, and Iowa are shite competition let me tell you. That was just from this year.

another meaningless term. He had basically 20 touches a game in 08. They do not need 1 guy to the 30 touches and never leave the field.. Moats and Foster had 100 yd games.

Also I really meant to use Slaton as an example of a mid round pick that contributed not necessarily as the answer in 2010. Though if it was an injury that caused the fumbling, and that's fixed, that would be great.

how is it meaningless? He is a nice 3rd down back. He can't consistently gain 4 yards on 1st down.

Foster is nice. Moats has never been a useful NFL player.

no he wouldn't have. he's likely a 4.6 guy who isn't explosive

he's 240 or so. he's not supposed to be elusive

Royster isn't in the top 35 go look it up for yorself.

have you watched him play? he's not explosive and doesn't have a great burst

we're talking about mid-round guys anyway

i'd like to see the list of elusive 240 lb RBs in the NFL the past 10 years

Royster isn't in the top 35 go look it up for yorself.

i will go right now and find every team's draft board and verify this information

I have and it looked decent to me.

I'm saying he won't be able to just run through guys in the pro's. because he is so big who knows how his playing style will work in the NFL.

3rd down backs don't gain 1200 + yards on 268 carries or get 20 touches a game.

Moats has never been a useful NFL player.

he had a 100 yd game, him or someone like him can get 3-5 touches a game. You do not need a "every down back" to have a good running game, see the Super Bowl Champions.

true. However, you do need a guy that can gain positive yards every time they touch the ball and have some power. That's not Moats or Slaton. Foster hasn't shown the ability to always do it. Not to mention Moats is a FA who won't be back.

why do you expect cixon to?
