Terry Bradshaw says Rodgers is "weak" for being upset with Packers

NFL commentator and former Pittsburgh Steelers QB Terry Bradshaw isn't one to hold back his opinions when he's in front of a camera or microphone. If you want to know what he thinks, you usually just have to ask him.
Well, on Monday's "Moose & Maggie" show on WFAN, Maggie Gray asked Bradshaw for his take on the current situation between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. He responded the only way he knows how: with brutal honesty.
The root of Rodgers' dissatisfaction with Green Bay, according to Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson, is GM Brian Gutekunst. Gutekunst selected QB Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft, but reportedly didn't let Rodgers know ahead of time. Rodgers reportedly has other issues with Gutekunst, but the animosity over drafting Love is what Bradshaw focused on.
"Him being that upset shows me how weak he is. Who the hell cares who you draft? He's a three-time MVP in the league and he's worried about this guy they drafted last year at No. 1?"
Bradshaw admitted that he doesn't know what was said behind closed doors. But given his own experience in what he considers to be a similar situation, he doesn't get why Rodgers is so perturbed
"... And for him to be upset, my god, I don't understand that. Pittsburgh drafted Mark Malone No. 1, Cliff Stoudt in the third or fourth round — I had them coming at me from all angles. I embraced it, because when we went to practice, I wasn't worried about those guys. They didn't scare me a bit. So I don't understand why he's so upset at Green Bay."
quote:
Rodgers reportedly won't return to the team if Gutekunst remains GM, and he's apparently prepared to stage a holdout or even retire if his condition isn't met. Bradshaw absolutely hated that, saying that he'd force Rodgers to follow through on those threats if he were running the Packers.
“Are you kidding me? Really? Aaron, that’s where this is?
“Here’s what I would do: I wouldn’t budge. Let him gripe. Let him cry. Retire. You are [37]. Go ahead and retire. See you later. I’m really strong about stuff like that. It just makes him look weak. How dare you draft somebody?
“... Obviously he doesn’t need the money. Probably he should just retire and go do ‘Jeopardy.’... Either he gives in, or Green Bay don’t give in. Move on.”

Bradshaw also thought John Elway was a bitch

GB should have drafted another QB just to show him what’s up.

Although I mostly agree with Bradshaw here, It’s a lot easier to not care what the team does around you whenever free agency doesn’t exist and they basically control your rights for your entire career

Im fairly certain Bradshaw played with more HOFs than any other QB in NFL history
So yeh, his takes here kinda dont hold much merit
Its like an American telling someone from Haiti to "stop complaining, thinking about leaving your country makes you soft"

Easy to say when you were on some legendary teams with no free agency

Terry Bradshaw has feuded with the Pittsburg Steelers even many years after he retired. He hated his head coach and refused to speak to him or about him. He has openly feuded with Big Ben and I still don't think they are on speaking terms.
Now he's an expert on how Rogers should feel about his organization? Wow!

Terry needs to just chill and ride off into the sunset on his tv show

If the entire reason Rodgers is pissed off is because of the Jordan Love pick, then I agree. That is absurdly insecure of him considering he just came off an MVP season and the Packers apparently offered to extend his contract as a peace offering.
But I have a feeling there are other reasons here and Bradshaw is talking out of his arse without knowing the full story.

Imagine being drafted by the Steelers in 1970. Bradshaw sucked it up and signed with them instead of whining and forcing a trade.

Rodgers is a bitch but the Packers have sandbagged him. I’d probably be a bitch too.

I think the love pick plus them cutting that WR last year fractured the relationship to the point where he began thinking about moving on, then add in a new Hollywood gf and the grass starts looking really green on the other side and at this point I don’t think he really cares about what the Packers can do to try to fix it, he just wants to play in a bigger city on the west coast and do cool things like host jeopardy or whatever and also play football

Who would have though a WR that nobody outside of GB or Buffalo knew about until yesterday would cause all this friction
ETA: And why in TF did GB cut TD Jesus for a guy, Malik Taylor, who had 5 receptions for 66 yds last year.

Also, isn't it more that Rodgers wanted more talent around him instead of spending a first on a project and not that he is "worried" about Love?
This is just all around stupidity from Bradshaw, but what's new?

It's actually the opposite, Rodgers is flexing his muscle in trying to get out of GB.

And Bradshaw also completely whiffed in thinking Rodgers didn't like the 1st round QB drafted because he's scared that dude will take his job, just the idea of viewing that way is the height of absurdity. He's mad because the pick didn't go to an actual position upgrade that will help them get closer to winning with Aaron Rodgers.

There has never been a more retarded pick in nfl history to me than the Jordan Love pick
You are on the brink of a super bowl, the brink, and you take a project QB with your first pick, when your stud QB still has 5-7 prime years left
