Rodgers was 36 at the time of the 2020 draft

I think at that time he had 5 great years left for sure

Maybe you did, but a lot of the MSB didn't.

Will Aaron Rodgers ever be an elite QB again

Also, isn't it more that Rodgers wanted more talent around him instead of spending a first on a project and not that he is "worried" about Love?

Of course, Bradshaw just legit has no clue what he's talking about here.

Yep. Packers drafted Rodgers in 2005 and have drafted 1 skill player in the 1st round since, and that guy is another QB.

Bradshaw was drafted in 1970, and the Steelers drafted 1st round skill players in the 4 of the next 6 drafts (WR Frank Lewis, RB Franco Harris, WR Lynn Swann, TE Bennie Cunningham).

While this may be true, there is ALOT of money involved here.....

My only issue with this is that it really eliminates any context for how that roster was built

I mean, they invested 2nd round picks in the following WRs since he arrived in GB: Greg Jennings, Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, and Devonte Adams

So by this line of thinking, there would be no issues with Rodgers and GB if hypothetically GB had taken all those WRs in the 1st round instead of the 2nd.

Like the Love gripe I totally understand, I get his frustrations. But the “haven’t drafted a WR in the first round” thing is really stupid for them, it’s hard to argue anyone has had better WR drafting success than them other than Pittsburgh

Bradshaw also thought John Elway was a bitch

Bradshaw was a 13-year veteran, league MVP, 4X Super bowl champion who took a beating in the days before the NFL protected QB's. He also played for hard-nosed SOB in Chuck Noll. He took exception to a kid who hadn't taken an NFL snap dictating to the league where he wanted to play.

To me it’s like Tom Brady worried that cam newton is going to steal Gisselle away from him. When you the alpha you don’t worry about the low man on the totem pole. You just keep riding.

Surprises me how disrespected Rodgers feels.

Odd that you mentioned Tom Brady when he forced JG off the Patriots.

Rodgers is frustrated that the Packers front office is pissing away their Super Bowl window and not even asking for his input on what he needs on offense.

This is BS. Green Bay had the #1 scoring offense and #5 total offense in the NFL last year and, on paper, should have beaten the Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game. They had the better team and they scored 26 points on a defense that held the high-powered Kansas City Chiefs to 9 points two weeks later.

There's a reason why the Packers didn't renew their defensive coordinator's contract after the 2020 season. The problem for the Packers isn't the offense.

Don't be silly, Tom would simply bribe Cam with a silk scarves buying spree at Bergdorf-Goodman to go away.

At least when Rodgers was drafted, even though pissing off Favre, everyone knew that AR was gonna be a legit star and merited the pick, BF included.

A lot of people had him as #1 overall.

Ted Thompson was lauded as a genius for taking him 24th.

Exactly, I remember wondering if he was a headcase, or the "well this guy Rodgers, Tedford, and Marshawn only won so much" doubters or whatnot..why the drop from the mock drafts?

I don’t think it’s just about skill players and oline men not being drafted in the first for most of his career. It’s the all around shitty drafting they’ve had and 1at round busts.

They haven’t maximized roster talent around 16 years worth of steady top 3-5 QBing.

What world do you live in that the packers are bad at drafting?

I can agree that they haven’t fully taken advantage of having an all pro QB on their roster, but it’s not due to poor drafting. Rodgers real gripe with management over all these years should’ve been with how long they went with McCarthy and how they’ve approached their FA/trade targets to fill gaps before and during the season.

No, I'm seven years older than Terry Bradshaw. He wishes that he was still in my physical condition.

I don't agree with his statements on Rogers though, but that is his job, to be controversial.

No, he didn't. The Steelers were bad when Bradshaw got drafted. There's a reason they had the #1 pick.
