He did not lead with the crown of his helmet. He led with his right shoulder and his head to outside of the runner. Exactly like he should have done.

The call was awful.

Called on UCLA safety.

Go back a page and watch the video from the link posted.

The offensive player clearly lowers his own head into the defender. Not the other way around.

Omg who lowers his head to initiate the hit. He hit him with the crown

It doesn't matter where he hits him if hits with crown

I didn't see it but if hit with crown it's targeting. Now how enforced by different crews that's on them not me
He hit him with the VERY front of his mask.

The runner went down and guy kept his head up like a champion(like he's been taught. It was a great play).

There is so much on the line in these games that I think it's long past these calls being annoying.

Idiots who made these rules so damning need to pay when they're wrong.

Imagine if it was your last game and you were a senior and you got ejected on some chicken shite like this in the first quarter

I believe that if it is not done with malicious intent, there should be no ejections even if it is a legit penalty

Someone tell me....

What is "launching" as enforced by the NCAA?

Planting your feet then moving your body forward with leverage from your legs

I don't want to get off topic. Because the rules aren't what I'm upset with. It's how they're enforced.

But, how the frick is the sentence you typed supposed to be taken away from a football player?

The enforcement is stupid because it's never the same including in the same game

His helmet is headed to the side for a shoulder hit. You must be blind

That is a horrific part about the rule.

Another is the ACTUAL RULES ARE LITERALLY IGNORED.

I'm not sure, but I THINK there's enough evidence to fix this legally.

Yeah, that call was ridiculous. Nothing the UCLA player could have done to avoid it. That Stanford player put himself in that position.

Most of these calls I have seen this year are bullshite.

God damn do you guys not understand the rule?

It isn't helmet to helmet that got him ejected it was leading with the crown

The defender obviously tried to hit him with his shoulder.

I know that but he lead with his crown and is why they ejected him

The purpose is right the enforcement and punishment is wrong though.

To me in that situation, if they are going to throw anyone out of the game it should be the offensive player. He made the move that caused the helmet to helmet contact. Defender was going low and the offensive player put them both in harms way.
